A total transformation... unfortunately.
The opening is super fresh and zesty - the bergamot and grapefruit really do their job here.
For me, the disappointing part is the drydown. After 10-30 minutes, the beautiful top note has vanished and the fragrance shifts from super fresh to woody.
The top note is quickly forgotten and overall I don't like the scent.
Never buy it blind, just like I did, test it once at Douglas.

PS: Performance and sillage are outstanding. Lasts easily 8-10 hours and is well noticeable for everyone nearby.

Where it all began
With this fragrance, I always think of my father, who has been using it for a long time. As a teenager, I sprayed it on myself and was immediately thrilled. The scent is simple and uncomplicated, yet timeless and a true classic.
The green notes, mint, and lavender create a great opening that no one could dislike.
The fragrance then develops over dry sandalwood and jasmine into moss, musk, and cedarwood.
This base is already familiar to everyone, but it simply works. It's no wonder the fragrance has lasted so long and has been used as inspiration by many fragrance houses.
Longevity and sillage are fine for me, and the price is also reasonable. I can recommend the fragrance; to me, it smells like childhood and will continue to do so.

A good blind buy that you can't go wrong with.

My Aftershave
What does my aftershave do on Parfumo?
Oh well. It definitely smells fresh and fruity with bergamot, pineapple, melon, and grapefruit.
It's not like a perfume where you perceive the individual notes in a complex order.
I smell the mix of all notes from start to finish.
After about 3 hours, everything has faded, which doesn't bother me with an aftershave since you wouldn't be able to spray on a perfume afterwards anyway.
I can recommend it and find it very amusing to find it here.

I Think of the Sea
This fragrance has something special. The opening of fresh sea air with a hint of spray and the pleasant depth in the drydown are simply beautiful. This scent does not attempt to include a strong contrast but has a clear focus on being a noble summer fragrance suitable for both the office and the beach.

The well-known Acqua di Giò freshness is immediately present, but here it feels more mature, more serious. Very quickly, this lovely slightly smoky incense note comes into play, giving the whole thing an elegant touch and a certain depth.
It is as expected fresh, but while the classic is found at the beach, this fragrance would be found on a small but fine boat on the sea with enough water under the keel. It radiates a certain depth.

The scent is present but not loud. It shows confidence without being intrusive. The longevity is really good (6-8h). I also like the bottle.
Overall, a beautiful fragrance that I might soon add to my collection.

Which Hero?
I really wanted to like it - with that name, you almost expect greatness. When I first tested Burberry Hero, I was standing outside the perfumery, on a cool autumn day, perfect mood for a "hero" moment. And then it came… nice.
The opening is fresh with bergamot, clean and tidy. Then a bit of aromatic juniper, later dry cedarwood. Everything is rounded, smooth, and mass-appeal. Nothing disturbs, but nothing excites. I sniffed my wrist several times and kept thinking: Something must be coming. But it didn’t.
For me, it’s not a bad scent - just unfortunately quite interchangeable. Wearable in everyday life, absolutely office-friendly, but not a "Hero," rather a well-behaved supporting character.
I prefer to reach for BDC EDP instead.
Simply better for the same occasions.
