Golden Rules...
Some time ago, I decided to buy a maximum of one (plus minus) fragrance each month, a golden rule, so to speak.
In a small, well-stocked perfumery, I looked at a few fragrances and to my delight, I spotted the shelf with PDM. It wasn't hard for me to decide; the golden rule must be broken this month, once again, as an exception. I chose Herod and Layton Exclusif. The budget was stretched and all resolutions went overboard. However, Herod was not in stock, only the test bottle, and I was allowed to pick up the ordered Herod two days later. I had a plan: in, out, and don’t go sniffing anything else!
Upon reaching the checkout, a package was handed to me, quickly signed to confirm I received the goods, and off I went.
The saleswoman must have sensed her chance: "Do you know Haltane by PDM? It arrived in the store today with your Herod." - My response: "Never heard of it" (I've only been strongly interested in the perfume scene for a year)
She handed me a test strip - My golden rules belong in the scrap metal.
Immediately, a slightly citrusy, sweet wood note hit me. The citrus notes fade after a short time but remain throughout the fragrance's development, which I believe rounds out the scent. The oud is not animalic and serves solely to highlight the wood note, which is supported by the praline and saffron, adding a pleasant sweetness. I internally debated not buying it. Stop! Stop! Haltane... it was in vain. Do you know that feeling when a puppy looks at you sadly because it wants to be taken along? That’s how it was with this fragrance. It wanted to belong to me, and I to it.
On clothing, it lasts for days, if not even a week. On the skin, at least 12 hours. The sillage is very good. For me, it’s an outstanding creation, and since I don't know OFG, it’s also unique for me.

Goosebumps
My first review for a fragrance.
Yesterday, Molecule 01 found its place in my collection. Full of anticipation, I opened the packaging, which is rather plain, but acceptable for the price. I'm really curious about how the scent will smell, will I even be able to smell it?
The first spray on my left elbow crease, let it dry for a moment and then took a sniff. Something happened that I have never experienced with any perfume or scent before. After the first inhale, I got goosebumps all over my body, pleasant goosebumps, as if someone was gently stroking my neck with a feather. What exactly triggered the goosebumps, I can't say. Molecule 01 is subtle. If I had to describe it, it's like freshly washed laundry, without any floral notes from the detergent/softener, but with that certain something.
Incredibly interesting. I originally bought it for layering, but now I have to come up with something new. I just like it too much!
