Mediterranean DNA fragrances

Mediterranean DNA fragrances

I

think some fragrances carry the aromas of the Mediterranean coasts without any effort. So I picked some woody, freshies green fugeres or blue scents. I am not very keen on Blue scents, I find them too watery for me. Let us begin this small list with Azzaro Chrome (extrait de)parfum. Imagine you are in a Mediterranean country such as Greece or Italy but you are climbing up on a mountain. The prrfume is rather linear but it is fresh, deep green a bit pungent in the opening . Allow the green bergamot to uplift your spirit and mood and healing sage cover you along with lentisque freshly cut branches and fir resin. Nothing too sweet here just fresh countryside jammed in a bottle.

Moving to Lattaffa's Al Nashama Caprice. What a find! It opens with bergamot, lemon, ginger and cardamom. Did you get the spicy citrus fruits? The nostrils widened a bit and the eyes moved with keen curiosity what could follow. Lavender and mint along with geranium leaves add earthiness and balsamic grace to the fragrance. The pyramid base is amber (probably ambroxan), patchouli, cedar wood and vetiver.

Last but not least from the Angel Schlesser line Les Eaux d' un instant I picked the edt Mediterranean Cypress. A green fugere which brings you fresh aromas from the Mediterranean country side. Bergamot, cardamon and lavender pop up in the opening of this fragrance and are ascending with aetherial jasmin, mint, geranium leaves (which always make you think of a spicy type of rose) and iris root. The pyramid base is tonka bean , cedar wood, cypress tree and rich sandal wood

This is a fantastic article, @Tzapan ! 👏
I loved your vivid descriptions, and felt like I was transported to a Greek or Italian mountain or countryside from the picture you painted.
It was also fun to find out the answer of which fragrances remind you of the Mediterranean.
Out of these 3 fragrances, do you have a personal favorite?
Excellent work here, my friend! 😊

@Gourmandgrl thanks a lot. I am glad you liked the article. We write so some readers take an interest after all. Out of the three fragrances here I find more pleasing and longer lasting the Azzaro Chrome parfum.
