..is there something beyond the darkness?
New addiction has kicked in!

That smell of fresh ink on your body and the sensation of getting a new tattoo is what Olivier Cresp succesfully emphasized here, but there's even more than that!

This fragrance is so vivid and realistic that instantly brought me back to the time of my first visit to the tattoo parlour in my hometown 17 years ago. The feeling, the surrounding, sketches, dimmed light, hot girl that worked there which was too old for me at that time-forbidden fruit, the thrill. I was just a kid, playing in a hardcore band, living the dream by touring non stop - everything seemed possible back then.

INK kicked me right in the feels I am telling you. The fragrance itself is definitely dark. When I first tried it, there was one exact fragrance that immediately crossed my mind and that was Encre Noire by Nathalie Lorson. I am not saying they are alike but they are definitely in the same category of aformentioned darkness to my nose which is good because now there is two fragrances in the world that make this category, at least in my book even if the only ingredient connecting these two is vetiver one of Mr. Cresp favorite notes.

Very thick fragrance but really easy to wear, it is a complex but not complicated, dense but it won't choke you out while wearing it. Mr. Cresp amplified the dark side of every ingredient he used here, almost to the point of raising some philosophical/poetical questions, like "is there something beyond the darkness?". Floral aspect of Jasmine is burried under the thick layer of ink molecule, black tar, cade oil and kinda sterile, medicinal vetiver fraction - art in a bottle.

Wearing this fragrance gives me excitement, nostalgia and at the same time reminds me of some of the best works from Edgar Allan Poe.

So on that note.

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." - Edgar Allan Poe

Dream Rose
Let me start by saying I am not the biggest fan of rose forwarded fragrances but what Aurelien Guichard did here is really magical! Almost every rose fragrance leans a bit too feminine for me to actually wear it, but this is not the case with Radical Rose, definitely unisex and hyper-realistic and I dare to say my favorite rose themed fragrance I tried to this day. Overdose of Rose absolute with head turning spices like saffron and pepper berries essence from Jamaica. Rose here is not sparkling and bright, I am getting more of a darker vibe to it. The darkness here is very well highlighted with Indonesian patchouli essence and labdanum absolute. GORGEOUS, THICK AND BOLD! I need a full bottle of this ASAP!

Beautiful addiction!

A dream is a question you cannot answer!
You are dreaming.

Everything is white. You are walking into a long corridor of orange trees from one side and green jasmine from the other side. There is a bitter and light bergamot mist with each couple of meters. It feels like you're walking on clouds. There is a wooden bowl in the middle of the corridor filled with orange blossom water, you wash your face in it and you are continuing forward. Your skin feels like velvet. You are completely weightless. Everything is peaceful, everything is bright. Ambery and woody facets are marking the end of the road, while jasmine and neroli still dance in harmony in the background behind you. You smile. Everything is calm.

You are awake!

M like reminiscence!
M like Marvelous!
M like Masterpiece!

Leathery decadence of a beautiful era of perfumery captured in essence of modern times!

As a huge fan of vintage perfumery and vintage leather, fougére and chypre fragrances I had to get this wonderful creation by Roja Dove.

Since having both vintage Bel Ami in shaker bottle and now Puredistance M in my collection I can now assure you that these two fragrances are not that similar after all.

M stands for more polished leather than often compared Bel Ami which is pretty straightforward, rugged and bolder.

Roja created that sorta clean leather accord, yet spicy and ambery but very much "men" oriented! Smell of an interior of an expensive car and Rolex wrists with bergamot, vetiver, oakmoss and touch of vanilla combined.

Very reminiscent of old times but never dated. Real Masterpiece I wear with pride!

Tell me what your heart wants..such a simple thing.
-with the Ray Lamontagne's lyrics from the song "Such a simple thing".

There comes a day in each of our lives when the whole world gets quiet and the only thing left is the sound of your own heartbeat. - that moment is usually the time when we reflect on our past and our future often neglecting and ignoring the present and the beautiful moment we are currently living in. This fragrance sorta have that contemplative calming effect on me and is my favorite fragrance to wear when I am alone with my own thoughts, before bed, staying in or going out hiking in the mountains or in the deep woods. It helps me to connect with myself and with nature and it also helps me in realizing who am I and what am I doing with my life. Makes me appreciate the moment I am living in, also reflecting on my past in more positive way and seeing the future more brighter.

The real Sun in my fragdrobe!

My favorite incense, dry woods, with that sorta smokey meditative oud, fragrance!
