Underrated
Ajmal is another one of the Arab copy specialists, that's for sure, but behind Lattafa, its subsidiaries and Al Haramain, it remains slightly underrated. And so does this perfume which I suspect is an original.
Original or not though, what a gem!

I'm so impressed and happy. I have few truly beastmode perfumes, few that can carry their scent around throughout the whole busy day or over my clothes for over a week.
The scent is distinctly but sweetly animalic, not the poo poo kind, but a musky smooth kind. Luckily the leather is not spicy, but creamy.
The opening hits you with a small yummy fruit basket underlined by an animalic profile. The oud gives a bitterness to it, reminiscent of an unripe grapefruit.
As it evolves, the bitter leather is softened further by smooth sweet florals. The slightly gouand sweetness pairs up well with the animalic profile, leaving you throughout the day feeling like you dotted yourself with quality attar.

Goodness... I'm really not even joking, for the price it's worth having even if it's not your favorite scent profile.

Victim of its own marketing
When a well trained new celebrity is about to step out on their well planned review, a certain reputation need to be build up to attract interest. As they step up to the scene and all they can muster up on the scene is a badly auto tuned, half mumbled tune with incoherent lyrics, the excitement dies down and people waddle away in disappointment.
But there is still a strong interest left in a handful eho can truly enjoy it, and that handful can stay true for sure.
As it goes in the metaphor for this product, I'm not in that handful, but I'll tell you what, for a powdery/almond/vanilla lover this goes hard. It's not vanilla sex, it's a vanilla intimate moment, unless vanilla sex was supposed to mean missionary position, no moaning, "bored but just getting it over with" sex.
It's great for layering, or when you want to enjoy a soft powdery scent for staying at home or chilling out. It's inviting, linear and comfortable enough to even have as an everyday scent really! (If your nose doesn't translate it as pee or playdoh) În the air people definitely won't pick up on it as a pee scent.
I personally bought a copy after trying it, because I'm not down to pay that amount lol.

Creating a vivid image through scent
I have just received a decant of this and I must say majestic is a befitting title.

As I first sprayed it I knew I would like it. A very thick and and rich opening; fruity, woody, resinous and leathery, all of it well-blended, setting a scene for a hypnotizing scent.
I would say leather as a note can be a hit or miss for me, but this is truly so addictive. As the fragrance evolved over the course of two hours I only glanced at the notes on several sites, I didn't even need much explanation as it was painting a picture for me. I could see myself, dead of winter, sitting on a new soft suede armchair, savoring a thick and fruity rose jam, a small fire in my back with Incense burning atop the fireplace.

I could see how this scent can be heavy for some people, but I believe this is a leather fragrance that can easily be enjoyed (especially if the likes of azaran has made you feel sick) for its sweetness and smoothness. It's not very animalic, more so woody, smoky and soft. The vanilla is not as loud as other vanilla based scents and adds to the smoothness.

Overall, a must try!
