Best Leather ever??

First, I have to start by saying forget the fragrance pyramid. I don't care what they have listed as a top note, heart, base or whatever. This is my experience with Armani Privé - Cuir Majesté . The bottle is very sexy as Armani Prive's bottles usually are. All black with the black cap. Upon first spray, I get a very nice powdery rose with an obvious, but not overpowering oud. The rose is not jammy but it's also not an "old people's" rose. The oud isn't barnyardy or overly animalic at all. It's western enough to appeal to the west but eastern enough for you to be able to know that it is oud. Then after about a half hour, the leather comes through and is soft, supple, almost a perfectly created accord for this particular experience. Not quite suede but the step before the leather becomes suede. Sidenote: IDK the process for making leather. The incense comes in right after you detect the leather. The dry down is a perfect ending to this journey with oud becoming more of a woody support system with a dusting of incense and vanilla. On my skin, this has become the sexiest leather fragrance in my collection. Surpasses London Extrait de Parfum . Outdoes Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum and "Le Vestiaire - Cuir (2023) | Yves Saint Laurent" doesn't stand a chance. Highly recommended!

Creating a vivid image through scent

I have just received a decant of this and I must say majestic is a befitting title.

As I first sprayed it I knew I would like it. A very thick and and rich opening; fruity, woody, resinous and leathery, all of it well-blended, setting a scene for a hypnotizing scent.
I would say leather as a note can be a hit or miss for me, but this is truly so addictive. As the fragrance evolved over the course of two hours I only glanced at the notes on several sites, I didn't even need much explanation as it was painting a picture for me. I could see myself, dead of winter, sitting on a new soft suede armchair, savoring a thick and fruity rose jam, a small fire in my back with Incense burning atop the fireplace.

I could see how this scent can be heavy for some people, but I believe this is a leather fragrance that can easily be enjoyed (especially if the likes of azaran has made you feel sick) for its sweetness and smoothness. It's not very animalic, more so woody, smoky and soft. The vanilla is not as loud as other vanilla based scents and adds to the smoothness.

Overall, a must try!

Addictive potential.......with hypnotic effect!

It is an honour for me to evaluate this wonderful fragrance from Armani
"Privé Cuir Majesté" - the name tells me that with this intense EdP I can expect an amazing experience with royal leather.

Sprayed intuitively, it has an intense berry-like appearance, almost like the smell of a skin filled with grapes. This dense fruitiness begins to shift a little, with the implicit sweetness fading and the fragrance then revealing other notes.

Osmanthus, sensual apricot-like feature is beautifully present and apparently reaches for the baton of the fading "dried fruit" note. Slowly an exotic, light incense penetrates, as does the luxuriously heavily hidden leather. Tobacco seems to have been defined by the previous notes already composed, but also appears in an almost liquid form. The scent of the dried fruits and osmanthus is still quite fruity even five minutes after the first spraying.

I begin to discover antiseptic traces of agarwood (oud), a little moss, and the cryptic "orcanox", better known as ambroxide ("ambroxane") - this is an essential ingredient of ambergris, tends to be sweet, earthy and waxy.

So many minutes after application I still get a very fruity, meticulous leather experience, warmed by Ambrox and lightly touched by Oud (which fades in and out depending on how things develop on my skin).

All in all, I would consider this a dark cherry-incense scent than a leather scent in itself. Perhaps I was not exposed enough to the abundance of different smells that make up the art and craft of leather processing. But with the little I know as a nominal fragrance lover, Privé Cuir Majesté feels more like a highly sparkling, fragrant, oil-conditioned suede than any "rougher" leather I could imagine.

Privé Cuir Majesté has a hypnotic, dark quality of its own and has a decent sillage and durability.

When expectations are too high

Mystical, dark, mysterious came to mind when I first saw this bottle on Parfumo. With such a high rating, the fragrance could only be one of the best on the market.
Full of joy I rattled off every perfumery for this fragrance, in vain. In my city there were so some places where Armani Prive was to be found.
Where are you Cuir Majeste I asked myself. When I then noticed that Armani Prive now and then times limited fragrances rausbrachte and the Cuir Majeste was one of them.
1000 euros and upwards people put down for this kind of fragrances and they were usually sold out immediately. I didn't stand a chance.
After months of vain search I had then discovered the souk where people sold bottlings. Lightning came to me the Cuir Majeste in the sense and I had him finally found.

Thanks to @Kitho for the bottling who owns one of the most impressive collections I've ever seen.

The bottling arrived in the mail and I couldn't wait, the long search was finally over. I sprayed it on my arm, waited a few seconds and was ready for one of the top rated fragrances on Parfumo.
So nose to arm and? ................... hmm.
I detect a very oriental incense note .... but something is bothering me. Disillusionment is slowly spreading in my heart. All the anticipation and excitement were lost, the scent was just "good".
Did I have about too high expectations? Would I like the fragrance better if I had not gone on this long search?
The perfume is a decent oriental fragrance that many would like, but I find, for example, the Oud Royal by Armani prive much better. I think I set my expectations way too high when I saw this bottle, the reviews and the description.

In this case, the journey was the destination. It was fun to "hunt" the fragrance, but if the expectations are too high, one is then only disappointed in the end.

Rosenkavalier in noble leather jacket

This Armani Privé is one of several fragrances with leather-rose-ud combinations. But he immediately steps out of this row. It rightly bears the attribute Majesté. It is a majestic fragrance.

Seldom are smoke, rose, leather and oud so finely tuned to each other. Nothing dominates, so that one is wrapped in this noble scent the whole evening, as if one had not taken off the leather jacket, as if the roses still exhaled their scent and as if a light smoky breath remains in the breath.
I see him more at romantics, more at men over 30, but he is also interesting for the ladies because of his soft harmonic style
