Don't mind me but I'm going to continue updating here in case anyone else is in the market for beachy summery fragrances. Because that's what I've discovered I love--beachy scents, rather than aquatics, even though I think they both end up in the same (chum) bucket. There's a synthetic watery note that I don't like.
Anyway, I tried 3 samples of Amouage fragrances that seemed beachy.
Lineage Ginger, pepper, saffron, and something almost like eucalyptus. Then resins, fenugreek, salty minerality, and a little cucumber in the drydown. Light, beautiful, relaxing, like a spa getaway.
Ashore THE MOST stunning sweet romantic florals! The jasmine and rose here are just SO rich, sexy, and delectable. Pepper, sweet sultry jasmine, candyish rose water, mineral sea salt, and a little soapiness. I can't get over how gorgeous the jasmine was, and I'm not that into florals. I ordered a full bottle.
Beach Hut Woman Salty minerality, bergamot, a lovely candied ylang ylang, and just a hint of patchouli. This combination is strange but lovely: earthy, tropical, sensual, wistful. Rain on the last day of your vacation. I might need a bottle of this one too.
