I have a bit of an issue with honey and vanilla, or warm scents coming off with a sweaty note on me, idk if this is an issue for anyone else but i want sweet gourmands that are warm and still smell clean!

Hello @MaterialMonk and welcome to Parfumo! 🙋 Such an interesting question! I understand that for example honey note can sometimes smell a bit "dirty", I have got that vibe sometimes from fragrances like
Aphrodisiaque and
Velvet Orchid Eau de Parfum, especially when wearing them during hot weather, so I have learned that them two are strictly cold weather fragrances for me. I can see that you're from Australia and I have heard it can be hot and humid there all year round which is not probably the best weather for wearing gourmands. Can you give some examples which fragrances have given this "sweaty" note for you? What was the weather like when you tested them and were they very strong perfumes or did you spray a lot?
Warm, vanillic and clean. Not really creamy per-se but its nice
Black Sugar Eau de Toilette

Not sure if you're willing to try a masculine-leaning scent but
Althaïr is exactly this, clean fresh-linen-y musk + warm vanilla
for me when scents are too lactonic they come off as cheesy on me ( which i hate sm because those r my fav types of scents). I would test anything with milk/cream or marshmallow in the notes
I would say that
Gris Charnel Extrait has a slight gourmand aspect to it because of the tea, fig and vanilla. It does have a slight earthy tone in the beginning because of the tea note and patchouli but it's also a clean scent as it is airy, French style. It's not something heavy like a Paco Rabanne or anything else that might feel very perfumy/cologney so to speak.
I think you need to get your hands on
Queening and
Love-O-Matic.
They both have sweet gourmand elements blended with fresh laundry notes. Clean and soapy, they probably won’t turn into anything sweaty or heavy. Queening is a sweet, airy vanilla, while Love-O-Matic leans more toward fresh laundry with playful hints of bubblegum.
