I want to smell like clean laundry but in a cozy way

Perfume Recommendations
... It's not my favorite type of fragrance but i would probably look towards the brand Kerzon which actually sell fancy laundry detergent, they have a perfume and body mist lines based on their laundry fragrance and offer really cheap discovery set In my case; i'm intrigued by "Petit Grain (Brume Parfumée) | Kerzon" , because i love the petit grain note, however i heard that their "Super Frais | Kerzon" might suit you ! If you're intrigued you could check their website i suppose @Rubenfrags just add an # before trying to type the name of your fragrance it will create a link toward the parfumo page of the fragrance

How do you store/organise your fragrances
Ebichuunee

Perfume Discussions
... Hello everyone ! I think we all know here that we should keep our fragrances in a dark cool place away from temperature variations. But I was thing about how do you store and display them ? For me, a part of in my dressing on the shelves is dedicated to my fragrance because it fit all the requirements above. And I kind of organise them with a ladder system made of their boxes, for the full bottles. Not really glorious, neither really practical, so I have been looking for a way yo arrange them differently. And I was wondering if anyone here is dealing with the same issues and if you have a found a way to organise your bottle you will be willing to share with us your organisation system ? Maybe with pictures I don’t how it would be the most practical ?

... Raluko111 Thank you both! Yes, I've been to Jovoy and a lot of other ones that are well known, so now I'm hoping to experience something different. Really appreciate you sharing with me. oh and by the way for it's "Maitre parfumeur et gantier" and not "maison", I'm not sure you're a fan of ambery scent, but in my opinion they're the master of amber-based scent especially with : "Ambre Tibet | Maître Parfumeur et Gantier" "Ambre Précieux | Maître Parfumeur et Gantier" but one of my favorite is "Grain de Plaisir | Maître Parfumeur et Gantier" and i'm dying of smelling "Camélia Chinois / Eau de Camélia Chinois | Maître Parfumeur et Gantier"

... You have seen my blog post so of course i would recommend you to go to Maison Jardin d'écrivains (15 Rue des Tournelles, 75004) ! But aside from this i have a soft spot for Maison Parfumeur et Gantier (5 Rue des Capucines, 75001) as my mom have been wearing their fragrance all my childhood. Otherwise there is big stores that you must have heard like Jovoy, nose, etc... They're not bad but they can get pretty crowded !

... I do agree with you, in my teen years i wore the same fragrance from day to night and in any season. But since i discovered my love for discovering and understanding how fragrances are composed, i found myself to by way more into fragrances related to a specific moment. Moreover i find myself checking the weather every morning when i dress up to figure my morning fragrance ! and i would say it's also related to how my mood is and i think we all know that season and weather can have a great impact on our emotions !

Fragrance Compliments

Perfume Discussions
... I don’t really care about other’s opinions, my only concern being that I don’t want to annoy them, so I try to be mindful when applying, not too weird and strong when I know that I will spend some time seated next to them, I do this because I’m actually really sensitive to strong scents, a smoker cannot approach me in a 3meter radius without me scrunching my nose. Regarding compliments, I found out that only my lover compliment me on my perfume, because he knows of my passion and take an interest of noticing each time I put some. Otherwise most of my friends are pretty neutral about it, but they also know about my hobby and sometimes they come to me ask for advices or recommendations !

Dark red, fiery, rouge perfume suggestions. Bring them on!

Perfume Discussions
... When i think "fiery red" i think about my frst love from Liquides Imaginaires : "Île Pourpre | Liquides Imaginaires", pourpre being the color in between red and purple that emperors used to wear as the pigments from the dye were horribly expensive. (And île means island) It's a jammy-spicy fig laid on woods, to my nose, that is bold and conforting at the same time, and in my opinion quite addictive and would fit maybe your description, i actually never got the opportunity to smell "Le Feu d'Issey | Issey Miyake" , but maybe one day !

... I love lavender in my fragrances, from your description i would suggest : "Lethe | Ulrich Lang", lavender, creamy and woody, the vanilla is not really present which is how i prefer it Today i wore "Howl | Jardins d'Écrivains" , this is a dense and conforting lavender/cinnamon/ambery fragrance, i was pleasantly surprised with this one And i'm waiting on a decant of "Diurno | Milano Fragranze" and might suit you too, i will come back once i tried it !

Owners of Profumum Roma, your favorite way of application ?
Ebichuunee

... JuleFagiola whaa...? I have 3 decants from Profumum Roma and never knew the full bottles came with that option. I personally love rollerballs and it's just a nice perk to get an extra travel-sized applicator for the full bottle loyalty. Yeah and you need to fil it by yourself with a little pipette, which is quite fun but i believe it could also easily get messy !

Is orange a summery note?
Ebichuunee
|
Perfume Discussions
... For me orange is all year round fragrances, I actually like this note a lot, but I’m also specific about how it’s used, like I don’t want to smell like orange juice, more like orange zest ! For winter I would say "Orange x Santal | Essential Parfums" a woody orange quite festive And for summer I’m actually more of a lemon girl, but "Bel Oranger | Fragonard" has recently triggered my interest, it’s like a fresh hug from an orange peel, really weird image I concede but somehow that’s how I perceived it ! It has woods also in the base notes so this is probably why I find it more cozy . Those two a very orange-centered, and have woods to ground the fragrances, but chemically you cannot do much when notes inspired by agrumes are fleeting by nature, so often you will find more fragrance with oranges as a support notes like in : "Like This / Like This - Tilda Swinton | Etat Libre d'Orange" , a spicy orangey pumpkin fragrance perfect for autumn "Fleuve Tendre | Liquides Imaginaires" and "Âme du Cœur | Liquides Imaginaires" Hope you find something to your liking !

Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
... I personnaly reallyb like green fragrance, when it smells like leaf, stems, tree trunk, moss ! But what i prefer often are their aromatics quality but i can comme in many forms : "Verdeur | Racyne" , which is fresh green "Bête Humaine | Liquides Imaginaires" Green like a dark forest "Mémoire d'une Odeur | Gucci" smell like chamomille and for it would fit into the green category "Cow | Zoologist" is a fresh floral leaning on green from the grass note "Je Ne Sais Quoi | Téo Cabanel" is green from the tea, and mixed with the nutty side of rice make it a green sweet fragrance. "Armani Privé - Thé Yulong | Giorgio Armani" , fresh green, not really my thing but worth mentioning "Erborista | Chapel Factory" , green like an apothecary shop As you can see i like and you can find more than "fifty shades of green"

Owners of Profumum Roma, your favorite way of application ?
Ebichuunee

Perfumes & Brands
... Hello everyone ! I recently acquired a bottle of "Alba | Profumum Roma" and discovered that the brand offers two ways to apply their fragrances—either with the sprayer screwed onto the bottle or using a small rollerball (I believe it’s 8ml) that you fill yourself as needed. Being a woman of science, I had to try both. Surprisingly, I find myself preferring the rollerball. Maybe it’s due to the high perfume oil concentration or the fragrance itself, but when I use the spray, I feel overstimulated—like even a single spray is too much for my nostrils. Has anyone else had a similar or different experience? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Unusual samples size/conditioning

... Markofrojlan nasomato has those non-sprayable, dab type of samples that i hate! they are packaged like pills in those plastic/aluminum type of container. and once you break the seal you have to use all of it, which is too much for me, so half of the sample goes to waste 😑 Bwahahah, damn! Who in the Nasomatto marketing department managed to convince the board to approve this type of packaging? Actually, after looking it up, it looks like a lipstick sample you might get from a makeup store! But it still feels really weird for a fragrance!

... @LouBe definitely recommend Jardins d'écrivains in my order of samples/decantsi got "Oud Pagode | Chapel Factory" "Baptisma | Chapel Factory" "Erborista | Chapel Factory" and "Ex-Libris | Jardins d'Écrivains", because I was in the mood to explore incense-based fragrances. I wasn’t disappointed, so I’m planning to make another sample order from Jardins d’Écrivains. I really want to try "Baltasar del Alcazar | Jardins d'Écrivains" , "Ajar | Jardins d'Écrivains" , "Wilde | Jardins d'Écrivains" and "L'Eau de Leopardi | Jardins d'Écrivains" , which i believe would be perfect fragrances to evoke the spring mood I need! I’ve never heard of Elaïo, but they definitely remind me of Versatile, though with less extravagant offerings. Regarding the dabbers from Versatile, I don’t really mind the packaging. The fragrances are quite potent, so wiping the stick on your forearms works well—but, I agree, it does require nimble fingers. Sometimes, I just place the vial directly on my forearms and gently tilt it as if it had a rollerball. Thanks to the small opening and the oil’s consistency, it doesn’t spill and applies the right amount effortlessly.

What size bottles to buy?
Ebichuunee

Perfume Discussions
... I go for the smallest possible, 10-15ml often hit the sweetspot to me. If i love something enough to empty a 10ml even though i have a lot of bigger bottles then i would consider getting a bigger format but i tend when not available to go for 30 or 50ml.

... Clearly patchouli is not my jam at all but i enjoy as a support notes like in : "Orphéon (Eau de Parfum) | Diptyque" or "La Terre, La Nuit | Racyne" , in this last one, the patchouli really helps to give this grounded quality that i love <3

... As you can see, fragonnard samples came in a little pouch, with a paper wipe inside that kind of look like to lemon pouch you use after you ate shrimps. Actually, i didn't knew that fragonard don't give "normal sized" samples, i believe it's because they have this very old school policy of sometimes giving samples with their promotional magazines. That also means that samples are more or less "one time samples" and that you have to rub this wipes on your skin (cannot spray on clothes obviously). Honestly, i'm not really convinced by this conditioning, because i struggle to understand how you can reall try a fragrance with this type of samples... And for the Chapel Factory/Jardins d'Ecrivains , those sample are really nice in my opinions they're glass bottles of 5ml (and 10ml for ex-libris which is a cologne), those are litteral small decants ! And damn for 7€ i have the feeling i got for my bucks as i can really try on the long term if i like those fragrances. Moreover, my enviromental friendly mindset immediately thought "once they're finished i can reuse those bottles ! (after deep cleaning them and wiping any residual fragrances with alcohol" After a week of trials i can say that Anaïs Biguine brands has very unique brands with highly qualitative products, and i like most of her propositions, and i would probably like if brands can offer more of this samples size ! So do you have any opinons on those samples conditioning or experiences to share ?
