Summer was coming to an end and the days were slowly getting shorter and cooler. So I thought it was time for a few new fragrances for the cold season. My first port of call, as so often, was this wonderful Parfumo community! And while I was working my way through the countless great and informative threads in the forum, the
Genetic Bliss was mentioned again and again. Hmmm...I thought to myself, a synthetic woody fragrance? Sounds interesting and the fragrance notes were promising.
So I initially ordered a bottle of this rather expensive fragrance. Greetings go out at this point to user TheScenter, who wrote to me directly and offered me a 5ml sample.
What can I say - it was love at first sniff! And so it happened that I was able to get hold of the small 27ml bottle of
Genetic Bliss here in the souk. Greetings to Hanismells go out as well :)
Well then - here it is in front of me. This beautiful, minimalist black bottle from 27 87 Perfumes.
Genetic Bliss was released in 2018 - but the big breakthrough has yet to come.
27 87 Perfumes is a perfume brand that specializes in the creation of unique and high-quality fragrances. The brand originates from Barcelona and was founded by perfumer Romy Kowalewski. The name "27 87" refers to the geographical coordinates of Formentera, an island in the Balearic Islands, which Romy Kowalewski uses as a source of inspiration for her fragrances.
To my knowledge,
Genetic Bliss is the only pure molecule fragrance in their small perfume collection. The latest masterpiece from 2787 Perfumes. The olfactory interpretation of uniqueness, captured in a hypermodern fragrance statement. It is the fragrance that stands out from the crowd. The eccentric. The "black sheep" in the 27 87 family. Because all the flacons released to date have always been white.
Perfumer Jordi Fernández has created many a fragrance and his most famous ones are
Haltane and
Explorer. In 2018, he created this wonderful molecular fragrance called
Genetic Bliss !
Let's now move on to the first impression: as soon as you take it out of the rather inappropriate outer packaging, you see an elegant black glass bottle. The simple and elegant design and the elegantly printed bottle label make an impression. The shape and the high-quality glass make this bottle in the 27 ml version a real hand flatterer. It doesn't even matter that the lid is made of plastic. The lid runs so smoothly over the spray head that you can immediately see the high quality of the workmanship. I enjoy using this bottle every time! The sprayer is excellent and distributes the fine water superbly.
Genetic Bliss is a linear molecular fragrance composed of 5 different synthetic wood molecules. That`s it - simple stuff! Immediately after spraying it on, it starts - but unlike all non-molecule fragrances.
Genetic Bliss does not dazzle the customer with a tangy, citrusy note. Here, you get the full spectrum of the fragrance straight away! A gentle, soft woodiness spreads immediately. The way in which these 5 molecules are harmonized is masterful. This is closely followed by a light soapiness and creamy, fresh elegance. The fragrance is so simple and yet so difficult to describe - the best I can say is that it is a sensual, feel-good fragrance. This fragrance is extremely pleasant to be around.

In terms of longevity, the
Genetic Bliss will certainly not disappoint, as the H/S is above average! The fragrance is a real marathon runner - easily lasts 8-10 hours on my skin and can still be detected on clothing for days.
The
Genetic Bliss has a moderate to strong projection, which means that the fragrance can be perceived for many hours in a reasonable radius without being too dominant. Even if you have sprayed too much, you will not be disgusted by your surroundings. Rather, it casts a spell over those around you.
Conclusion: Both thumbs up! This fragrance is more than successful and worth every penny. Why it never made the big breakthrough in the perfume scene remains a mystery to me. For me, the fragrance is great cinema!
