Pulse Beyoncé 2011

This smells just like when I would put a box of the orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream, came in a checkered pattern, into a bowl of 7-up at my kids birthday parties.. It is a very fizzy orange sherbet scent.. I love the smell however it doesnt last more than an hour or so on me. The sillage is pretty good, about an arm's length, during that time though.. I often put it on before going to bed. I keep the bottle upside down on my shelf.

I hate it when my nose and chemistry dislike a perfume, especially when it is currently dirt cheap in my local drug-store. But one whiff of this and I have to agree with a statement below: it smells like shampoo. Floral shampoo to be exact.
And, although I love it if my perfumes come in pretty bottles, I can totally ignore the bottle if the juice is worth it. Well, in this case I could have done that too, but my opinion of the bottle would be the same: to me it is clumsy and ugly, and reminds me (sorry) of a Star Trek - Klingon device.

I love this perfume !! Personally it is my favourite beyoncè perfume ! It is a fruity tropical almost alcoholic scent perfect for going on holiday !my only problem with this perfume is .. The bottle ! Because on the way it stands it is practically upside down and this causes leakages and crystallised perfume at the base but apart from this little "error" I love this perfume x

While I like this fragrance, it smells a bit unusual, and I can see why some people don't enjoy it. I don't smell anything but fruit, flowers, and Blue Curacao in this, so perhaps, it lacks depth. It's a nice uplifting daytime fragrance, so if you don't mind smelling like fruity sweets or punch at work or leisure, you'll like this.

Why I bought this, I no longer know myself. I found and still find the upside-down bottle quite amusing, and since there were only 15 ml in it, I probably thought there wasn't much that could go wrong. I actually wore the scent a few times, but due to its cardboard sweetness, I couldn't stand it very long, even in winter.

To write this comment, I took the trouble to dig it out again today to "work through" the very imaginatively described and melodious fragrance pyramid. However, that doesn't work, because I can hardly smell anything from it. Does anyone really know what "frosted bergamot" smells like? I know bergamot. But "frosted"? Freshness is certainly not present in this scent. There are supposed to be flowers and woods in it, even noble ones?? I can't sniff them out. Instead, Pulse is infused with a lot of artificial flavoring agents that my nose cannot define, no matter how hard I try.

But if sugar were listed in the fragrance pyramid, and I mean a huge pile, I would confirm that immediately. Because for me, the scent starts not with frosted freshness but with a synthetic sweetness and stickiness that almost hurts my teeth. In the heart note, the sugar shock continues to loom, and the artificial flavoring agents throw a lively party on my skin once released. In the base, the sweetness then recedes a bit and makes way for a hint of musk and synthetic vanilla. These make Pulse overall a bit softer, warmer, and therefore a bit more pleasant. Still, beautiful is something else. And like so many scents I don't like, this one has been lingering on my skin for hours, stubbornly refusing to evaporate.

If at all, Pulse is only bearable for me in winter. But it can't be so cold outside that I would want to wear it again. Not even in Siberia.
