Crafted Refreshment with Integrity
Freshness power! Those who know "Higher," a nicely crafted citrus summer fragrance, will find that the energy variant offers a few more additional exotic aromas:

A lot of grapefruit, slightly sour, a hint of minty pineapple, a bit of melon.

It's quite refreshing, yet not artificial or piercing like many other modern citrus scents.
The heart phase is well done, somewhat more grounded in its spicy nuances. A touch of pepper, sprinkles of nutmeg, which complement the still dominant, quite clear grapefruit freshness well.

There is hardly a noticeable base, at best, light woody aspects emerge.

Overall, it’s made usable, but without seriously causing a stir. The original "Higher" has significantly more recognizability.

Electricity in the Gym with Significant Fluctuations
When I finally found Dior Higher to test and could exclude a blind purchase for the time being, it made sense to also look out for the "Energy" variant... and I found it in the same store and sprayed it for comparison on the other wrist.

There are clear parallels, and one could speak of a fragrance family, but one would have to stretch the degree of relatedness quite a bit since neither pear nor spices are included. Energy goes in a sporty-fresh direction with berries and pineapple with a hint of mint at the top. Then comes a hefty dose of pepper, and it ends right in the mossy, woody forest. Just good enough for working out, though at times it feels a bit too heavy, peppery, and ultimately woody and earthy. At first, it is clearly sweet and pleasant, appealing to young guys, but as is typical for Dior, not the very young ones.

The scent smells good and is similar to the regular Higher, ahead of its time, a true sporty offshoot that has significant differences from its fragrance father. A machinery that today runs a thousand times with any somewhat successful scent and annoys everyone. Here it’s called Energy, nowadays mostly Sport. Back at the time of its release, it surely deserved a higher rating, but even with my 70%, I think it can live well, as it smells good, but doesn’t blow anyone away with originality. Nowadays, even less so, as you’ve almost smelled everything in the mainstream area.

The bottle is the typical standard bottle and not worth mentioning. The longevity was about the same as the original, a Dior-untypical 6 hours - so rather weak. At least the sillage is good, and you stand out in the more upscale gyms of this world - or so you’d think, because Energy is extremely shy, and you have to really pump to smell anything!

A nice scent for working out and summer days, for cosmopolitan globetrotters and city dwellers with pep, who are, however, afraid of taking too much risk. Not a hidden gem - but also not a deterrent!

Good Mood
Higher Energy is a very pleasant fragrance, a good mood scent, so to speak. I don't know anyone in my circle of acquaintances who doesn't like it. Unfortunately, the longevity is truly not worthy of DIOR; after two or three hours, I can no longer really perceive it.

However, anyone who enjoys fruity and zesty scents, especially in summer, will find the right address here.

Higher, further, faster, and then what?
Why "Energy" is written on the bottle is a mystery to me.
Upon the first spray, I notice much more sweetness at the top, meaning the melon and mint are very prominent. However, talking about energy doesn't really come to mind. Compared to the regular Higher that I have on the other side, I have to give preference to the original. Greater sillage, stronger statement, much more harmonious.
Certainly well made, but not quite my style.
It’s also interesting that not much is written about the Higher fragrances on Dior's homepage. They seem to have put much less effort into this; the Fahrenheit family is more expressive. Also, the Homme world seems to be preferred by the Dior folks. Either a new Higher is coming that fits today's times, or it’s becoming increasingly difficult with these two fragrances. They are also rather underrepresented on the store shelves, if at all, and definitely not in front of the two mentioned fragrance directions from Dior.

I acquired the scent relatively cheaply and am therefore not unhappy to own it, but it suffices for me as is.

In the dry down, I find the Higher much better and fresher; I would gladly repurchase this one. But before I bring home one of these Higher scents, I will definitely buy Homme intense fifteen times first.

Too unbalanced and lacking character; for people who want to experience something different instead of an Axe or Nivea Sport scent, it’s absolutely right. For me, not necessarily the winner among Dior's offerings.

I see the hobby camper in front of me
"Higher Energy" immediately impresses with a woody-minty note that is slightly fruity.
Sandalwood is immediately present with a rough sweetness, combined with a strong cedar note. Very faintly, juniper berry and grapefruit can be sensed.
The mint remains constant in the background but gives the fragrance a certain something at the same time.
Nutmeg emerges after a while, along with incense, which then tops it all off.
Above all, there is a subtle melon freshness.
For me, the scent is a feel-good fragrance because it reminds me of my dad. However, it would disturb me in potential men.
Overall, I see/associate a man who is setting up a tent in a forest meadow for his family while sniffing.

Pfff what is this? Never smelled anything so weak… and that what you smell is synthetic. Dior, its time to chop this one

Generic scent, typical of the late 90's. Juniper berries with a citric/green opening and a woody base. Fresh, green, fruity and synthetic.

It has been discontinued, so, even trying to find a bottle nowadays is getting more difficult.
The smell itself, is actually quite nice.

Opening: strong with a smell of grapefruit. Dry down: faint woody note. Sillage is just like a fart strong in the beginning and it’s gone.

Grapefruit shower gel. Pale and without contour. Unremarkable freshness with a very subtle wood note. A weak Dior.

A subtly pleasant scent that fulfills multiple facets: fruity, fresh, woody - absolutely suitable for the office and still very modern.

Gets way too little credit here. A fresh scent that’s one of a kind. With just the right amount of spice + great longevity.

Actually a nice citrus-woody scent that I like, but sillage is almost nonexistent. Too bad.
