Earl Grey's lesbian cousin
The operanide is doing some heavy lifting in windows down. It gives it this specific watery smell which adds some complexity to the bergamot and tea notes. It's like Republic of Teas' Earl Greyer with an entire candied orange dumped in a kettle that's then left outside in a heavy rainstorm for a few minutes. It's distinctly feminine to me, but in a way that doesn't exactly signal girlishness- It's definitely on the sophisticated side of things.

Lovely But Doesn't Last
This is a really enjoyable, clean, fresh, green, and citrusy tea scent with a hint of honey. I was excited when I first sprayed - however, I had to overspray quite a bit (by my standards, at least) and press my nose against my skin to smell it. The scent disappeared within two hours. I would love something similar with a stronger sillage that lasts on my skin longer.

LA in a Bottle
When I first smelled Windows Down I was shocked. It didn’t smell like earl grey tea, it smelled like chile mango. That dusty, spicy, fruity goodness. It also reminded me of the chamoy gummies my family used to get at Grand Central Market in the summer. Specifically La Huerta Candy’s mixed chamoy gummies. We would eat those and walk. Even the dry down reminds me of LA. The sunscreen, almost linen, scent makes me think of walking on the sidewalk and how hot and dusty the air felt. It’s so nostalgic in a specific way.

I feel like if you layered it with Salted Green Mango by Strangers Parfumerie it would be heaven.

delightful floral
opens with bitter citrus and grey tea, goes into a pretty tame neroli with oakmoss and white musk. I almost get a little ozone in the opening, but that might just be the bitter citrus chemicals. there's definitely an impression of 'outside'--like a 'fresh air' accord that isn't listed. maybe it's just a really clean floral. it all smells good, but it's still interesting--a great scent that works on pretty much anyone.

Easy to like earl grey and citrus fruits
This is probably the standout fragrance in the Henry Rose discovery set; too bad the fragrance has absolutely poor performance. It becomes a skin scent extremely fast (under 15 minutes). Wore it twice just to be sure it wasn't my nose that was broken.

The beginning was just absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing. A fresh, herbal earl grey, backed by juicy, fruity citrus fruits and a gentle, fresh hint of neroli. If the fragrance had been that and only that with better performance, I would've bought a full bottle on the spot. Unfortunately, it doesn't take long until the fragrance morphs into a more resinous, almost honey-like scent with citruses. I'm guessing the broom might have something to do with it. Drydown becomes a bit more floral with the jasmine and orange blossom offering a very gentle caress of freshness and powderiness. In its final stage, it becomes warm, subtle woodiness with an undescript sweet fruitiness.

Overall it's a very carefree kind of fragrance, one you want to spritz on to feel great at the start of the day. It has absolutely poor performance, especially in terms of sillage. It won't be added to my collection since I have better performing tea fragrances in my collection, but this one absolutely deserves to be in the spotlight!

A beautiful, fresh earl grey and citrus beginning that morphs gently into a more honeyed citrus with florals. Performance is so bad though..

Somehow reminiscent of the first post-shower lawn mowing of spring in the deep south. Windows down, shoes off!

Refreshing citrus tea that was love at first sniff for me. Unfortunately, has no longevity.
