Miss Hugues from Downtown Abbey
This is the perfume of a dignified lady, she's in her late 40', she knows what she's doing and people respect her. She's a bit firm, don't smile so much, but you know you can count on her whatever trouble you go through. She goes often to the graveyard, you don't know why but you suspect she lost her husband. Hence why she doesn't smile so much.
It's not exactly her story but it could be the perfume of Miss Hugues from Downtown Abbey.
To talk about the perfume itself, it opens on a sharp cypress note, but it goes away quickly. Then a pencil shaving iris and incense appear hand in hand and stay there for a while. The scent is linear which I like. It becomes a bit more fruity or sweet with time, improving the scent even more.
It's a beautiful perfume for those who don't like heavy incense like me. Encens suave chokes me for example. It's not a joyful scent, it's a bit serious, like someone with bright blue eyes looking straight at your from afar, making you a bit uncomfortable. It's mysterious, makes you curious and you want to know what that person sees in you that keeps her eyes on you like this.
I'm not so full on metaphors for other perfumes reviews, but that one is special.
