Curiosity won out...
La Capitale is so incredibly beautiful... is it even possible to duplicate it? And then for so little money?

Before I answer that, let me tell you my impression:

The bottle arrived here, very big, heavy, blue... well, quite ok.
Then I sprayed it on with very low expectations to be honest.
"Oh my goodness... as if" was my first thought.
Somehow it made me very sad... "creepy, how close it gets to the OG"
BUT
Sprayed la capitale on a few days later... then the direct comparison
Kashaf is actually a good deal weaker
The leather stands out more clearly, especially on the skin and it's a ... yes... not so noble leather, a bit more biting...
The oud, also a different one, is then noticeable... doesn't seem so... yes, simply not as noble.
Yes, it's crazy for the money...

But my conclusion:
If you really love la Capitale, you'll leave Kashaf behind...
I'm sorry, you just can't get close to the tango dancing Italian girl... at least not for me. You can even smell the difference quite clearly afterwards.
Longevity and sillage don't keep up either.

Of course, if you want to have the vibe for little money, Kashaf is certainly enough for you.
But it just can't give me the same feeling as this noble fragrance, which always puts a smile on my face.
Nice try Lattafa... but you are no substitute for me!

Xerjoff's La Capitale for very little money?

First of all, I have never tested "La Capitale | XerJoff".
So I can't say whether this is really a dupe.
However, I did have a brief chat with a nice perfumer who raved about Kashaf.
She had La Capitale as a sample and told me that the two are damn similar.
So I thought, well then you can't go wrong.
Especially at the price of 14 euros and a few crushed ones.

As you can see from the reviews here, it doesn't seem to be a bad fragrance, but I personally don't like it at all.

The fragrance starts off synthetically, which is not surprising given the low price.
But the synthetics here are a bit too much for me.
It's that synthetic stuff where you know the quality is really bad.
Sorry for those who love the fragrance, but that's just how I feel about it
Plus something inexplicable that smells kind of fruity, could be blueberries, raspberries or strawberries.

Unfortunately, this doesn't get much better in the DD.
The berry remains subtle, but so does the synthetic.
Something floral is also noticeable, but only very slightly in the background, it never becomes truly floral.
By the way, Kashaf is also sweet, but to a pleasant degree.
The fragrance gives me shampoo vibes.
I'm not saying it smells 1:1 like shampoo.
But if I didn't know it was a perfume and smelled it blind, one of my first thoughts would be "shampoo".
Because the fruity notes also smell like that, just synthetic and not distinct enough.
With some fragrances, you immediately notice that you're wearing bergamot, pineapple, etc., but that's not the case here at all.
Others may see it differently, but that's just what I perceive.

Only after an hour or so does it become a little more bearable.
At that point, it's also just an "ok" fragrance, it's just a "wow".
The synthetics fade a little, what remains is a creamy, berry, pleasantly sweet, feminine fragrance.
However, I don't want to wait that long.
I want to spray on a fragrance and enjoy it straight away and not wait until late DD to enjoy it.
The creaminess here is slightly reminiscent of "Affection | Lattafa / لطافة", except that Affection is definitely creamier.

The performance is mediocre.
You are welcome to over-spray here, it is not a room filler and I didn't get a strong radiance even after 6 sprays.
The durability is okay.
The next day I could still smell the fragrance on my top without having to search for it with my nose.

Another important thing to mention is that Kashaf definitely smells far too feminine for a unisex fragrance.
I sometimes like it a bit feminine, but it is a bit too feminine for me.

My review of Kashaf reads very negatively, tastes are just different, you always have to keep that in mind when reading.
What I don't like, someone else may totally like and vice versa.
I'm just trying to give my honest opinion and I hope I won't put anyone off with my assessment.
It's best to test the fragrance yourself, a small bottle should cost almost nothing and just make up your own mind about Kashaf.

Absolute board!

Phew, I really don't know how there have been so few responses here so far.
This fragrance needs so much more attention!
Recently, I was able to test "La Capitale | XerJoff" as a bottling through a dear Parfumo user. & I was really shockingly in love. Rarely have I smelled something so beautiful. So I knew I needed it. Now I was aware that I would have to save up for such a bottle for the time being. But I saw "Kashaf | Lattafa / لطافة" among similar fragrances. No fragrance notes given, hardly any reviews. Hmmm, so first I had to find out what it was supposed to smell like. According to the manufacturer, it breaks down like this -
Top note: rose
Heart notes: blackcurrant, raspberry & saffron
Base notes: sandalwood, oud & musk

At the first spray, you immediately notice a juicy raspberry that smells beautifully fruity and fresh. There is also a light hairspray note, which makes it seem synthetic for a moment. However, I don't notice it for very long. It remains permanently fruity & sweet, but then becomes a little sharper due to the saffron. Such a beautiful combination. The musk then makes the whole thing a little powdery. You can definitely smell the woodiness, which makes the fragrance more suitable for men to wear than "La Capitale | XerJoff" in my opinion. It is therefore much less feminine & really great for all genders. Unfortunately, I'm not really the type for very oriental things, but that's really not an issue here. I don't think you can smell any difference between the two fragrances after an hour, for example. Even when I sniff the spray button, I really can't tell the difference. So it's amazing how close Lattafa has come to the original.

The bottle is beautifully designed and fits well in the hand despite its size. Durability & sillage are really great. For 15€, this is an absolutely amazing thing.
So if you like "La Capitale | XerJoff", you'll like this one too. If you're looking for a cheap alternative - go for it. It's worth it!
