Multifaceted rose
The opening... wow!!!
A deep dark red rose, streaked with fine threads of minimally sweet pulp (a plum, which I usually find sweet and sticky, but my bumbling nose can't really make it out here) is slowly covered in resinous drops.
Even I, who usually has a neutral to neutral-negative attitude towards roses (too flowery, too old-fashioned, too xy...), find such a rose fascinating!
Sudden change of scene: the dark red, resinous and deep rose suddenly turns pink! And it stays that way for the next few hours: a pink rose... you somehow "sense" that there is more, but it doesn't want to show itself (yet)...

Then... after about 5-6 hours, this soft, earthy, warm base finally appears - I could melt away! Sooo beautiful...

My (personal) problem is that I find the opening and ending wonderful, but the rose in between is too ... rose for me. Rose is.
A fragrance that I would IMMEDIATELY recommend to every rose lover...
... even if it couldn't reach mine.

In terms of longevity, I can say that the beautiful base is still perceptible after more than 12 hours!

Salalah - The Caribbean of the Orient. A fragrance journey
The bottles bear the names of famous cities and reflect the distinctive fragrance impressions of each region. Salalah, a city in Oman, combines beautiful white sandy beaches, lush palm groves and breathtaking desert landscapes. Particularly noteworthy are the blooming oases and rushing waterfalls created by the monsoon called 'Kharif' - an extraordinary and rare natural phenomenon in the Arabian Peninsula that makes this region a fascinating travel destination.

First of all:
I'm always a bit biased when it comes to rose(/oud) fragrances... Because I love the scent of roses. So maybe I'm gushing a little too much about this release, but the fragrance is something different and far removed from a run-of-the-mill rose.

An elegant oriental blend of a classic rose fragrance and something unique at the same time. The lush rose petals are accompanied by a subtle, almost soapy note that gives the fragrance a clean, fresh nuance. Fortunately not quite as punchy as Oud Satin Mood Eau de Parfum Similarly soapy, but still seems more masculine and better, even perfectly balanced to me. The soft oud brings depth and warmth without being too overpowering or even animalic, while the juicy plum adds a fruity sweetness that makes the fragrance lively and multi-faceted. For once, I really like the plum in this combination, as this fruit usually ruins most fragrance creations for me. Often interwoven with sticky, sweet gourmand notes, the plum has found a better place here alongside roses and woods. That's how I like it. Inconspicuously buried in the rose bouquet.
It's a fragrance that feels both timeless and modern - perfect for those who love the classic rose but are looking for a more unusual, creative interpretation. Light yet full-bodied, with a subtle elegance that lingers. Truly a masterpiece from Julien Rasquinet. Hats off!

Longevity and sillage are also convincing. I could smell the fragrance all day long.

Really worth a test for rose fans! Seriously!

Regards
