The way is the goal
Fresh lemon, almost golden in appearance and its juice in an equally noble shade sparkle from the bottle, which you can almost only enjoy with sunglasses ;-) ! Bergamot intensifies fruity immediately afterwards, but dims the liveliness a little. Wormwood, as the name almost implies, contributes a pinch of melancholy that captures and dampens the lemon from the beginning so that the scent does not become too citric. This is good for me, because otherwise the scent would be over for me here. Too much lemon is not my thing and so I'm glad that I'm about to make a nice turn.
I tied the thread to the wrist. The other end is attached to a column in the garden. If both ends hold, I will find out from the forthcoming adventure. A little bit of a dab of both, yes, it holds. Then I'll be on my way. The green, house high bush walls of the labyrinth come closer and closer. There's the entrance. I'll go through. The arrangement of the first green wall steers me to the left. A few metres further there is a small table with a bowl of freshly cut lemons. Even before that, its intensely fresh and refreshing fragrance rises into my nose. Next to the lemons there are some bergamots, green-skinned but slightly sweeter in smell. I inhale them too. Strengthened by both, I go on. Around one corner, around the next. There is a bitter herbaceous fog in the air and leads me to the next table. On it there is a bottle of vermouth and a half-filled jar, next to it a piece of sugar cube. I sniff the bottle and the glass, soak the sugar and let it melt on my tongue. The rising vapours mix with the strong lemon note from earlier, which persists in my nose and together with it results in a fragrance that I like better and better. The sparkling freshness is somewhat dimmed, but remains recognizable. Curiously I go on, the scents still anchored in my senses. Twice on the left, once on the right and I come to a lush, tall rose bush, which at first appears more colourful than it should. On closer inspection, I see that it has other flowers on some branches, as if someone had decorated a fir tree. Here and there white jasmine and orange blossoms are appropriate. This gives the deep red rose a floweriness that underlines and even intensifies its own. With the citric notes and the wormwood fumes in my nose this results in a noble fragrance melange that still arouses my interest more and more. So my fragrance journey continues. Meanwhile I realize that I have to follow my nose at branches of the bush paths in order to reach my goal. I let myself be steered and come to piles of wood with different coloured woods. As if they were freshly beaten, they mix with my already inhaled perceptions and contribute a spicy aromatic direction, which fits perfectly with the initial notes and reinforces them again somewhat in the freshness. Many rose scents with blossoms and woods drift into the dark, mystical, but this one seems to want to stay on the bright side with all its strength. You may not notice this immediately in the selection in the pyramid, but when spraying on the planned course becomes clearer and clearer. So I also come to the conclusion that if you don't like rose scents dark, lush and heavy, you might love them here. Simply because he has a sunny mind. Since it triggers the same feeling in me, I walk past the stacks of wood in a buoyant manner and continue into the next green passage. It becomes more flowery and sweeter, something chocolaty, soft-scented is in the air. Something that almost makes my mouth water. I'm already walking noticeably faster. What's it that attracts me so irresistibly? A bend in the wall-high bushes leads me back to a small table. Here is finely uncovered, as if someone is expected for coffee and cake. In the middle there is an Etagère with delicious things. I see pralines, dark as well as light, tonka beans with their liquorice to vanilla caramel taste lie individually in a small bowl and want to be tasted. I soak up the fine scents of everything in me and let them merge with all the others previously absorbed in me. A wonderful slightly lemony-pink-sweet scent emerges, which is very persistent, since none of the aromas has evaporated from the beginning until here. Each is still available. I thump another praline and finally go on. Bent around three corners I come across a green wall with pictures. One shows a musk ox. Next to it on a small ledge a bottle with the oil. I sniff it, but notice that this substance mixes only discreetly with the previous fragrance impression. The picture next to it shows Ambra. I know that the amber contributes a sensual softness to every fragrance and wraps all too spicy, fresh or light-flowered notes in cotton wool so that they become bearable and can even invite you to dream. Also here in this fragrance sequence Ambra does what it does best and contributes a feel-good note, which does not weigh down, but only catches. My eyes go to the side, light falls into the green. I wonder if that's the exit I follow the light and actually see the cut-out passage in the bush wall. But right in front of it there is a meter-high white column with a golden-colored structure on it. In the first moment I recognize something angular, glowing, glittering in the light and can't quite assign it. But as I get closer, I do see what it is. It's a bottle of Maze from Al Haramain. In him lies the result of my fragrance journey. I did not get lost and found so much more here than just the exit. Because the way is the goal here...
