Fragrance-born Venus
I am always enchanted by Botticelli's paintings with the beautiful Simonetta Vespucci in the center.
Was she just his muse or his lover, as the whole of Florence whispered?
She was demonstrably this young woman in Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" and in "Primavera"; both works of art can captivate me for a long time, even just as a photograph.
This Venus has already ensnared me with her magic; I would like to say:
She has me hooked! Whether as this almost innocent-looking young woman in her shell, who looks slightly confused: She is probably only at the beginning of her path to becoming a goddess of love, this "foam-born", and still has a lot to learn.
She appears differently in "Spring" among all the beautiful gods, demigods, fruits and plants in the play of light and shadow: Here she visibly already possesses mature charm and sophistication, she has already learned a lot, is already the goddess of love and fertility.
This is probably where the House of Alkemia comes in with the composition of the "Elixir of Aphrodite" fragrance:
Fruits and flowers were collected along the path of this goddess and arranged to create "her very personal divine fragrance companion".
The early summer delicacy of the blossoms of plums, delicate ivory-colored orange blossoms with the first fine jasmine melt in perfection and slightly tart mimosa "flower balls" still stand for a certain innocence in the fragrance, while the plump, velvety-skinned fruits peach and apricot stand for ripeness and sweetness = seduction and are enveloped by golden creamy drops of honey in which the light plays.
A cloak of countless white, sensual and often very intensely fragrant jasmine blossoms ensures the fulfillment of a fragrance picture.
The goddess of love Aphrodite strides past, radiating vitality and unaffected eroticism - our eyes meet: women among themselves, wrapped in a rich scent of fruits and flowers.
But these are not the only things that envelop and caress the senses; guaiac wood and musk have joined forces to create an animalistic, woody and smoky finish to this "Elxir of Aphrodite", which could also be called "Elixir d'Amore".
This is how this fragrance work of art rounds off into a tantalizing whole.
The balance of the individual fragrance notes characterizes this rich, warm and sensual creation with not too great sillage and durability:
Everything is just right here!
I almost believe whoever is responsible for composing this fragrance:
He was a witness to the birth of Venus and later hung around in the "Primavera" garden.
There is no other explanation for this successful piece of jewelry.
----------
Finally, a few personal words:
Gelis and ElAttarine teamed up to make the selection of sample kits, which ended up with me at the end of the trip so that the fragrances could receive their reviews.
I will endeavor, bit by bit, to test the multitude of these fragrance creations and hopefully put them into suitable texts.
So the darker days that will soon follow will certainly not be long for me; I now have enough test fodder for my nose and senses (and also for word and sentence creations).
Thanks to you both for this wonderful task!
