The paths of the tiny wanderer had been long, every day there was so much to see and Munro liked to sit down for a moment and discover nothing. As soon as his eyes were closed, there was the scent of various soils, of musty sharp forest floors, of lively deadwood, misty clays, and cool minerals. Munro had to take a look.
And before him flew a little fairy, her body made of damp earth, she wore a dress of clammy leaves, rugged lichens, and ethereal glow. Her wings were made of the finest ferns with fresh wet mosses attached, from which tiny herbs grew, as cool as the rain. Munro stared with shining eyes, his mouth wide open in awe, as the fairy tossed him a giggling kiss that smelled of sweet resin and hit his cheek before she vanished with the wind. He kept his cheek tilted for a few hours so that the kiss wouldn't run down, and he felt as happy as a child.

Alkemia, based in Amherst, Massachusetts, consistently offers astonishing fragrances far from the mainstream despite their high output of creations. The house produces both oils and EdPs in spray bottles.
"Gaea" represents, among other things, the personified earth in Greek mythology. Thus, the fragrance begins with an almost sharp, authentic wet earth scent, a forest floor strewn with stones that has received much rain and little sun, where woods decay, leaves rot, and lichens begin to ethereally overgrow everything. Soon, fresh-cool, herbal ferns and green damp mosses grow within, before the warm and sweet maple resins gradually become noticeable, which, however, remain subordinate to the earthy, herbaceous, sometimes almost bitter, and at the same time mineral overall impression until the end. Munro's encounter with the little earth fairy is of a quieter nature and lasts about five hours.
