Totally Un-Whatever...
Demeter's Dirt+ D&G Light Blue...can't go wrong, but for me can't go right. I don't go for a pretty face like a million other pretty faces...there has to be something unique, comical, cynical, insightful...I'll even go for rude...has to have a twist...this is 'all about that base...that base...that base..." with no top notes. I happen to really dislike this base- so it doesn't make sense for me to buy it as a base to blend with my other Commodity choices. It's very common, gender neutral sort of ISO and Egyptian Musk with some cedar a tiny bit of oakmoss- though I struggle to detect it- and petigrain...things most people dig- hap-hazardously thrown together like my dirty laundry pile/Goodwill pile- whatever...this fragrance says "I don't care if I live, love or drown today...I am just here. Blah!

oh, to have the confidence of a mediocre man
I've only tried a few Commodity fragrances and own even less. The issues I have with Moss, the one I actually have, are emblematic of most of the others I've sampled as well. They're crisp in the sense that mostly what you get is the acrid, antiseptic zest of rubbing alcohol, and they're generically cologne-y, in a plastic-y green, waxy citrus way that reminds me of every mediocre dude who talks over you in a department meeting and takes credit for your ideas, every tedious bore at a party who suggests that you're misinformed and that you should read the work of a certain subject matter expert --and news flash ya ding dong, I'm the one who wrote the work you're referencing-- and lastly, every creeper who crawls out from his cave to follow you down the street shouting HEY GIRL NICE TATS and then calls you an ugly whore when you politely request that he leave you alone. Pretty sure all of these assholes are Commodity's focus groups.

Expressive Moss
The opening note of Moss is so juicy and ripe! It reminds me of so many well made citruses. Think Atelier Cologne.
Give me verveine, give me lemon, petitgrain, give me all that sour freshness!
To make it wearable and not smell like a bathroom air refreshener, is an art in itself.

Still just on paper, Moss goes from fresh bergamot to juicy grapefruit, like scratching the skin of a pink grapefruit sprinkled with some sugar.

I expected Moss to be earthy, wet and crisp in its entirety, but it is a fresh, juicy, summer fragrance that reminds me of Falling Into the Sea by Imaginary Authors. So let's give this one a go on my skin!

Oh no... I do NOT have the funds to buy more than one Commodity fragrance!
On skin, Moss is just perfectly sweet and fresh, just how I like 'em! The green notes are more prominent and rather than grapefruit and bergamot, petitgrain and orange blossom are at the forefront.

After dry down, I am more calm that Commodity fragrances won't be my ruin. Moss is still wonderful and a great citrus, green, fresh fragrance, but as the other Commodity fragrances, it has lightened up a whole lot and I need more charisma than this.

Another thing I might add is, very surprisingly, Moss is far more sweet and feminine on paper than on my skin. It is usually the other way around. On paper, Moss smells like a pink grapefruit lemonade, sparkling, sweet and zesty.
On my skin, it is far more green and aromatic. I am not strong with some notes that I haven't smelled individually, and oakmoss is one of them. I therefore don't know whether I smell this note in particular, but though I enjoy it, I am not wow'ed.

Commodity Moss
Sticking with the fresh theme today, and I really enjoyed this one. Much like Moss-, it’s very green and earthy initially, with lots of bright citrus, fading to a woody musk over time. In between there’s a good hit of orange blossom. The floral here is the main difference for me between this and Moss-. Both remind me very much of sitting in a garden on a humid summer evening, with a citronella candle burning nearby.

I was hoping for a bit more strength from the Expressive, but it’s still a very quiet, intimate scent that sits close to the skin. Interestingly, this one doesn’t seem to last as well on me as Moss-, fading away almost completely after only a couple of hours.

I would say this is a true unisex scent, perfect for days when you want something clean and fresh without being overpowering. In terms of longevity, though, I’d probably plump for the Personal variant.

Clears the Airways!
Here is another Commodity fragrance. Specifically, Moss. And by Moss, I mean the English term for oak moss, and not the nerdy but lovable character from the really funny and great nerd comedy series "The IT-Crowd," which I think is even better and more lovable than "The Big Bang Theory," although I also really like TBBT.

Well, since it will surely get warmer again at some point (you can believe me, even if it still says everywhere that the real winter is yet to come :D), one can occasionally look for new, fresh scents! :D

The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts off beautifully fresh with citrus notes, of which you can best smell the zesty grapefruit. Shortly after, you can detect a bit of orange (must be the Petitgrain), especially the peels, as it has a slightly bitter scent.
A little later, you can smell a slightly minty note, so the eucalyptus begins to take effect. Not very strong, but pleasantly fragrant. When you sniff close to the sprayed area, you feel as if the eucalyptus is clearing the airways :D
Actually, it stays this way for a long time, and you surprisingly smell the citrus notes for quite a while; unfortunately, the eucalyptus fades a bit too quickly. Despite the name, oak moss is only faintly present, as the citrus scents are in the foreground (or maybe I just have trouble smelling the oak moss). The fragrance doesn't develop much further and remains rather unsweetened despite the musk and amber.

The Sillage and Longevity:
Aside from a brief, strong scent burst at the beginning due to the citrus notes, the sillage is mostly mediocre to even rather weak.
The longevity is about four, maybe five hours, which seems to be normal average for fresh scents.

The Bottle:
The bottle is, as always, cylindrical and made of dark glass. The label on the front is also dark, namely black, which fits well with the bottle. The cap is also black and cylindrical. It looks quite okay, even if it might seem a bit simple.

Hmm… the fragrance is somehow quite different from what one would expect from the name. Because the scent neither smells of green, mossy notes, nor really of oak moss and is mostly just citrusy.

This makes the fragrance a refreshing scent for summer that one could spray on from time to time on hot days. However, one shouldn't expect too much, as it ultimately turns out to be a bit too simple, since all the other fragrance notes listed here project very little.

It's nice, but a tad too simple or, in other words: It resembles too many other simple and citrusy fragrances, so I find it a bit too expensive for the price of over 100 euros. However, it’s still worth checking out, as the eucalyptus at the beginning is great and the scent might appeal to one person or another. For example, I found "Bergamot" by Commodity to be far better as a fresh summer scent.

Smelled quite literally like chopped green peppers to me. Which is not totally unappealing! Just a little odd.

A cool, soft gray-green scent. Vetiver isn't listed, but it has a vetiver feeling. Relaxing.

Perfect scent for summer. Fresh and green opening. Doesn’t last very long, yet dries down beautifully. Very crowd pleasing.

Starts with a tangy grapefruit, then shifts to resinous-woody notes with cool eucalyptus. Less moss than the name suggests...

Grapefruit (says a quick hello), resins and woods: juicy and resinous, woody and surprisingly not very green (despite the name): a lovely companion.
