Once again, it's powder time!
Hello folks! How are you doing? I hope as always well, especially in these times where annoying coronaviruses are still lurking everywhere and life is a bit more restricted, well, except maybe for President Trump, who even takes the virus for a walk or something :D
Those who stay home more because of this can really only do one of three things: sniff and discover new scents, game and discover new games, watch dirty stuff on the internet and discover new dirty stuff :D I am also staying home more these days and have seen and discovered plenty in all three areas, and yes… okay, let's get to the scent.
It's about Odeur Poudreè by MGO, which already sounds very soft and gentle, comparable to the fur of cats or the skin of ladies, at least I think so, what do I know, I've only been able to pet cat fur for years instead of the fur, uh, the skin of ladies… *sigh* :DD he he.
If you take a look at the notes, the scent shouldn't be bad. Vanilla, iris, tonka bean, jasmine, musk, sandalwood, etc… all notes that usually create a very pleasant feeling in the nose. Well, the ylang-ylang worries me a bit, as I don't like that note because it often comes across as stuffy, humid, and very heavy, taking away the pleasant aura and often even the sexiness of the scent. Well, that's just my opinion. I'll apply the scent now and then see how it develops.
Then I already smell the first gentle notes like amber and iris, possibly a bit of jasmine and incense.
The other notes are harder to determine since I don't know how Hedion, Ambermax, or Galaxolid smell. But that's not a problem, as later on, I mainly smell vanilla and iris, along with a slight amber-like sweetness.
A few hours later, it still smells pretty much as described, so it remains sweet and powdery. It's just that now you can mainly smell a somewhat more intense vanilla, while everything else recedes into the background. The vanilla not only smells good as usual but also quite authentic.
Even the later base smells almost exclusively of vanilla, and I appreciate that the scent isn't disturbed by stuffy notes like ylang-ylang, even if it might lack a bit of variety because of that.
The longevity is even extremely good. I could still smell the scent quite well on my arm the next morning, and it even lingered for a little while longer (in a very weakened form, of course) after I had scrubbed my arm with soap several times. Therefore, I give it full marks for longevity.
Especially now that we have autumn and winter is coming soon, such scents are excellent for both daily wear and going out, as vanilla always smells delicious. I do think there are prettier vanilla scents than this MGO here, but vanilla fans might still want to take a look, as the beginning might appeal to some more than other scents, or because the scent mostly smells only of vanilla, well, depending.
It's nice that the ylang-ylang didn't smell opulent, which has increased the sexiness of the scent for me. Because with stuffy ylang-ylang, I would never want to nibble on you ladies,… well, okay, maybe I would, because I'm a desperately crazy freak, but most wouldn't :DD
Anyway, the scent is worth testing. With that, I come to a close, and yes, continue to take good care of yourselves during these times and have a nice evening :)

The scent:
At the beginning, the scent has a briefly slightly medicinal note that smells like sweet cough syrup, which you don't really like to drink :DThen I already smell the first gentle notes like amber and iris, possibly a bit of jasmine and incense.
The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is good; the scent starts off a bit weaker but then unfolds better, so you don't really have to get close to smell it on someone. The longevity is even extremely good. I could still smell the scent quite well on my arm the next morning, and it even lingered for a little while longer (in a very weakened form, of course) after I had scrubbed my arm with soap several times. Therefore, I give it full marks for longevity.
The bottle:
The bottle is slightly bulbous, has a pretty thick glass bottom, and a gold-plated spray head. On top sits a slightly milky transparent, rectangular cap. There is no label; instead, the brand name and scent name are printed on the bottle in a rather simple machine font. Everything is very simple; I think more could have been done with this bottle shape. Conclusion:
So, this scent here belongs to the "typical vanilla scents," of which there are indeed as many as sand on the beach. What I mean is that they are quite nice scents, but in the base, they all tend to smell the same, almost only of vanilla. But that's okay because, firstly, most of these scents do have their own beginning, even if they might come across as familiar, and secondly, vanilla is a wonderful, soft-powdery note that smells pleasant.

Anyway, the scent is worth testing. With that, I come to a close, and yes, continue to take good care of yourselves during these times and have a nice evening :)
