Powdered raspberry cream?

Now this is a very interesting perfume. And I think I'm the first woman to review this here. I mostly see men's perspectives on this, which made me skeptical to buy it. But I once again purchased another Anfas bottle (first was the Gaya) from the lovely Eryina on souk at a great price. If not I probably wouldn't have taken the risk to blind buy it.

I've tried the original Ishq before so I'm going to make some comparisons. The berry note is definitely less prominent than the original ishq. However there is still a decent hint of the raspberry lingering after the spray. Its subtle. I can see why men tend to prefer this one to the original with it being less sweet. A previous reviewer did mention the original ishq despite having 30% less perfume oil in it projects more. I can see what he means but that's not entirely true. Its not that the original ishq projects more, its that the fruity tone is more dominant in the original versus the special.

Another difference is that the special smells like powdered raspberry which you mix with water or heavy cream to turn it into....well a light raspberry cream which you spread over your scones. While the original is more a light cream devoid of the powderiness. (Note that the Special isnt a strong powder scent, its mild) However even in the original the raspberry note isn't prominent at all. So those of you expecting a strong dose of raspberry from either the original or the special will be disappointed. I kinda prefer it this way tbh, because it ends up being a more refined fragrance rather than a basic pharmacy brand berry perfume.

Projection is weak for both the special and the original. Its one of the reasons why my first Anfas perfume was Gaya because that one is beast mode. Everyone will smell you with the Gaya. The ishq and special are more intimate perfumes. You do need to get close to someone to smell it. But when you do, its truly a refined and somewhat seductive scent. And as always, usually when you find a perfume having weak projection you also find it having weak sillage, as is the case with both Ishqs. I really don't know why people rate the sillage high. Perhaps they are comparing with other perfumes which aren't that beast mode? Im comparing its sillage to fragrances like tony iommi and cruz del sur by xerjoff, or delina by parfum de marly or Calda by Lárc. The projection sillage and longevity is NOTHING compared to these ones. I specifically recall I tested Calda and the Ishq original at the same time one on each arm and then one on each sleeve of my coat. The difference is very drastic.

Can't complain about the packaging. Its just simply unbeatable. No other perfume on the market has packaging that can rival the class and elegance and rustic(ness) of Anfas. Also the one difference I noticed with packaging is Anfas Ishq Special has a red box and the red gem on the bottle cap. While the original has black packaging and no gem.

Anyways which do I prefer? Hmmm both are very similar actually. I will definitely get some good wear of it my ishq special. But having either or is enough. Its so similar to the point where itd be a waste of money to purchase both, even if you are a fan of Anfas.

If you know Ishq....!

So where should I start? Best at the beginning :)

I spontaneously bought a bottle because I wanted to know what this supposedly great smelling isqh smells like I happened to be traveling with a friend who is not at all enthusiastic about fragrances. But I was all the more so :) Full of joy, a spray on the back of my hand... Bummm sweet strawberry & saffron full on the beet!
I was flashed again for a long time, but in a positive sense, I fell in love immediately. It was a flashback to my childhood, my buddy said the same thing and we still don't know why. (maybe there was someone else who could help me figure it out) He had also never smelled his words: such a sweet, delicious strawberry. :)

I knew I had to get it..... well, it's not that easy to get the thing.

After a little research, I came across the special, and I thought it would be (temporarily) because of the nice story with the sister, the recessions and the availability
When the good piece arrived and I sprayed it on I thought WOW Megaaa!!!
Strawberry saffron vanilla amber everything perfectly combined simply beautiful.
A really great, beautifully balanced fragrance, had it not been for the bottling of the normal version.
So left hand special right hand normal version.

Special: first 15min perfect dominant strawberry then everything unites, gets a little dark and stays that way until the end. Lasts around 8 hours on my skin. Projection and that's where the problem lies WITH ME was unfortunately (compared to the normal version) not so outstanding. Possibly because of the 30% fragrance oil content?

Normal: Sweet strawberry & saffron for about 4 hours then rather more vanilla & amber & a little strawberry:) Much louder sweeter and projects mine a lot stronger! According to my nose a more beautiful fragrance! So it was clear I also need a normal bottle! My favorite!!!

Both really great fragrances with which you don't feel like you can put anyone to flight! Bottle very valuable, heavy and extremely pretty! Supposedly handmade.
Special still has a small red stone on the lid otherwise identical bottle.

Both have a proud price, but anyone who has smelled them will be able to pull it out of their pocket :)

Hello everyone,

today I would like to talk about the new Anfas, the Ishq Special !
After my 10ml bottling I now have a bottle and I'm going to talk about certain things and explain to you why I think the way I think.

But before I do that, let's talk about the bottle, OVP, sprayer and OVP. What else can I say other than a WOW (!), a 10/10 is almost a must in this respect and if you see it differently, I can't help you anymore!

To start with,
of course I know the house by name and yes I have tested 1, 2, 3 fragrances, but they never really blew me away or inspired me. It was rather the opposite...

In 2022 I got the Ishq under my nose for the first time (and several times afterwards) and yes (!) I liked it. Something different, but it was a bit too "loud" for me...

This brings me to a point in my headline - the BR540 mystery!

Many people think that when those read saffron *OMG* like BR540 or saffron + jasmine *OMG BR540 again* and where this thinking comes from is clear to me and somehow I can even understand it minimally, but with the Ishq Special you have this 2.3s maybe and then no more, I promise!

BUT there is a noticeable similarity to the BR540 and that is not the scent!

How so?

(Comparison EDP vs Extrait)

The EDP is louder and, in my opinion, consistently louder than the extrait. And that reminds me exactly of Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum and Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de Parfum because there it was 1:1 the same.

The Ishq Special is rounder, fuller, noticeably higher quality and consequently much more pleasant and easier to wear for me!
As I said, the BR540 Vibe comes on for 2.3s, but this almost subsides in a very short time (fortunately!) you get the insanely beautiful strawberry "full on the 12". It remains well noticeable for 1, 2 hours, but then the pure magic begins and now we are at the point why I "love" it so much...

This abnormally wonderful mix of vanilla and amber = WOW! This is great cinema. If I wonder how you can imagine this - very remotely like the "Amber Star | XerJoff" . WATCH out, you CANNOT compare the two - I can only get this feeling, the high quality, the magical, the mystical, this special feeling from the "Amber Star | XerJoff"!
Compliments:

10/10 is an understatement! Even employees who don't really like such a fragrance (Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette users) like it very much and for women... i'll put it this way, my wife is grateful when I don't use it. BECAUSE it is extremely attractive to strange women and she likes it less = also understandable ;)

Nevertheless 10/10!

TOP 2 Release:

This year many very useful fragrances came out, but for me (!) the clear winners this year are the Triumph of Bacchus Extrait de Parfum and the Ishq Special !

The coming star?

It's always enormously modest to say this, but I see such massive potential in this and even more than in the already usable Ishq. If you want more quality and think like me and would like to know what is possible if you increase the fragrance oil concentration, then reach for the Ishq Special and test it and maybe you will like it.

If I really wasn't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!

Now on the subject of luxury:

As you can see in my profile, among other things, I have really smelled many fragrances and there are fragrances where you smell a certain (partly) strong synthetic and you notice quite quickly that some fragrance houses go for quantity rather than quality and there are some where you just realize "oh come on, let's put more + better in" and you can smell this at the end of the day.

And now, almost finally, to the point about the "dear price", let me put it this way: if we say we have a certain desire for luxury products / fragrance products in the niche sector, then I find it difficult or quite honestly almost pointless to chalk this up as something negative. Nobody is forcing us to spend this money. If you ask me now: Benny is it worth it? Then I say, if you want to spend it, test it and then buy it, but I recommend everyone to test it! You just have to experience it - the art of what is / can be possible.

Probably the noblest and most authentic strawberry fragrance

... that has come under my nose so far.

Having only recently come across the Ishq Special and read through the reviews and statements, I thought it might be worth a test.

I have to admit that I hadn't looked for it, because up until then I thought that perfumes that smelled of strawberry were for little girls or young ladies, but not for men.
I was wrong, and I was very wrong!

This fragrance is fine, elegant, classy - yes, it's sweet, but it's a very harmonious, pleasing sweetness. Not the sticky stuff, not synthetic, just lovely. In one of the statements I read something about strawberry cream sweets. In my opinion, this comparison fits very well, although I still have to emphasize the noble component in this fragrance, because it is certainly an art to bring a strawberry fragrance to such a high level.

In contrast to many oriental fragrances, the cast of this ensemble is manageable. Saffron and jasmine play in the front row, with strawberry - the soloist - behind them, slightly higher up, alongside amber, which accompanies them discreetly. Oak moss and vanilla play in the back row, completing the ensemble.

If just one of the accompanying players were missing from this ensemble, it would not be what it is, a MASTERWORK.

The beautiful strawberry on a bed of vanilla

I only dedicate a review to a few fragrances.
The Ishq Special (and only the Special) deserves it in my opinion.
It starts with an incredibly spicy, soft strawberry, which is permanently noticeable, but fades into the background as the fragrance progresses. It becomes more of a soft vanilla/amber fragrance in my nose.
I can't really understand the comparisons with BR540. I find the fragrances very different.
It is definitely the best strawberry fragrance on the market.
It never becomes unpleasant, as the sillage is pleasant and not too intrusive in my opinion. The longevity and quality, on the other hand, is brutal. It stays close to the skin for a whole day. You notice the high concentration here! The packaging and the bottle are truly Champions Leauge.
A wonderful fragrance from the house of Anfas, which has a lot ahead of the normal Ishq and puts it in the shade.
