Bitterly baited
Shit! Now she got me after all. While I was still thinking back and forth: Do I like this? Do I not like it? I was already addicted to these natural perfumes by Anette Neuffer. The natural fragrances that she uses, speak to me on a completely different, deeper level, smell more familiar, more familiar, than synthetic fragrances and also create beautiful images in my head.
There are then solemnly burning candles, sparking campfires under a clear, summer starry sky, forest and cocooning incense in ancient church vaults buzzing around. These fragrance creations express solemnity, naturalness, a little pathos and a magic all of their own. Nothing goes here without burning, smoking, coking. It is celebrated.
What bothers me on the other hand partly, is this "waxy" that I also find Neuffer-typical. As if here a few fragrance oils were beautifully and skillfully mixed together but in the end a thick wax drop was drizzled into the middle. This wax then dominates the fragrance and the (better) rest is only to smell as a peripheral phenomenon. With three of the Neuffer's tested by me I had this "wax problem".
Great! I thought so anyway. You can check this brand off. Nice to smell, but really doesn't need to be. Because although I find the prices for Neuffer perfumes absolutely justified, they are definitely too high for my perfume budget.
Well, what can I say? Now with Hepster of all things a fragrance called "green bitter orange" has conquered my nose and my heart. Sounds somehow not exactly sexy, but smells quite adorable !
What please is this a brilliant citrus scent ! Hepster smells like an extremely luxurious incense with a nice, dense, full, green citrus aroma. Not too much sweetness, but also not too little.
There is nothing more to say about the fragrance either. The incense " glows " and smells hour after hour.
A sweetheart that really lasts a long, long time and that with a citrus scent. Like all citrus scents, this one lifts your spirits and its sophisticated "incense base" makes it unique and special. (And not a wax stain in sight...).
Thanks to Paprica for the sample !
(The best perfume Christmas gnome you could ask for.)
