Very helpful Review 2
I feel like I’ve slipped down a rabbit hole into a fantastical realm. ...
A White Floral Gourmand - heady and indolic, creamy and narcotic narcissus with a gloriously pongy, and yes, chewy beeswax base - SWOON - I love it!
If I try I can pick out most of the wonderfully high quality ingredients, but I’m not so interested in dissecting this one - I just want to lounge around all day, reapplying Narcissus Orientalis every couple of hours for the amazing indoles in the opening and the gorgeous pongy little furry animal beeswax dry down.
I feel like I’ve slipped down a rabbit hole into a fantastical realm; I’m having a tea party with giant fuzzy bees and pollen dusted butterflies, we’re feasting on nectar and funky, chewy beeswax fresh from the hive. We’re enjoying our spoils so much and, distracted by our orgiastic gluttony, we don’t realise we’re being enveloped by mounds of sweet narcissi, smothered beneath their fragrant, heavy petals. What a wonderful way to go!

Salome
Dance, Salome, dance for me. Ignite the lights in the temple and watch how sensually she moves to the rhythm of the music. Every step is a sin, every turn a doom. Fiery red like a bitter orange is her hair, and wild is the long mane. Adorned with woven daffodils and a crown of white jasmine on her head. White as ivory is the sinful skin. Covered with delicate veils of organza are her hips. Bouquets of osmanthus adorn her ankles and are fitted with golden bells. Every step a siren call and every pose a downfall of the male soul. Shower your body with white rose petals and drizzle the golden-hot beeswax over your body and let it flow over your loins. Take the chains of the sweetest vanilla, tonka, cocoa, and patchouli-filled incense cups and swing them like whips around your noble body in the dance of Salome. Your trembling body convulsing in tender-animalistic ecstasy. The daggers in your hands and at my neck. Who can resist you? You are the sweet death and the nirvana of femininity. Dance, Salome,...dance!

Narcissus Orientalis is for me the scent of Salome. Captured in one of the latest works by Annette Neuffer. A perfume like a sinful-sweet dance of innocence and eroticism. A dance that begins so innocently and ends in devoted femininity. Here, every note is a pose and every chord a siren call. Bitter and sharp notes of red bitter orange and mandarin blend with delicate floral white notes of daffodils, jasmine, orange blossoms, and seductive osmanthus. Narcissus Orientalis is so far a bouquet of delicate femininity, but only up to that point. From the delicate bouquet, creamy-waxy notes gradually flow out. Beeswax absolute coats the bouquet with its warm creaminess. Alluring notes of vanilla and tonka emanate from Narcissus Orientalis, giving the fragrance a legendary warmth and allure with creamy benzoin, patchouli, and powdery-dry cocoa. A desirable scent of femininity, innocence, and vice is born. Inexpressibly beautiful, inexpressibly mysterious, and inexpressibly tempting.

With Narcissus Orientalis, no man will lose his head, but he will certainly be very strongly turned should he perceive it.
I am certain of that!

a colorful carpet of dreams
It was a tulip that six-year-old Maria Sybilla Merian picked in the garden of a Frankfurt merchant on a cold March day to draw. She did not know how valuable this bulbous plant was and that it had come to the big city with a spice caravan from the Orient.
And of course, the poor little girl got into big trouble!
This story belongs to the beginnings of the work of a woman who gifted us the most beautiful and accurate copper engravings of the world of flowers and plants that exist.
It is a joy to behold and to immerse oneself in.

Annette Neuffer's "Narcissus Orientalis" also conjures such a floral painting.
No, it actually creates the illusion of a generously patterned warming cashmere scarf or the opulence of a valuable Oriental carpet; colorful, soft, and thoroughly noble.
Perhaps it is the carpet that transports you to the enchanting world of 1,001 nights - who knows!

Once again, it is a large number of the most diverse fragrance notes that have been impressively woven together in "Narcissus Orientalis."
There is already the interesting freshness of the fruity opening. This is caressed by the spicy, warm, and pleasantly resinous Galbanum.
Galbanum, with its great healing properties, is said to even heal wounds; here surely those that some souls carry with them. Thus, the inner doors open for a dreamily beautiful heart note.
The namesake daffodil, with a slight sweetness, meets the warmth of a particularly beautiful orange blossom and the exotic charm of Osmanthus.
Once again, I would like to remind you that this shrub only blooms for a single night and its flowers are therefore particularly valuable. And not only in tea, but also in many fragrances, as has now been shown.
The elegantly, reservedly acting aroma of Jasmine Sambac*) fits excellently with the previous scent progression.
(It's a pity that a plant of this variety died on me at the beginning of the heating season. This small-flowered jasmine also makes a lovely houseplant - if it wants to!)
The "Virgin in the Green," which also bears the beautiful family name "Damascena," I know from various parks and gardens. There it harmoniously plays in the great orchestra of scents: as it does here.
"Damascena" - "Damascus" is one of the words that tempt me; it sends me on a journey to unknown destinations that I cannot name.
Here it is once again the "Rosa damascena," the rare Bulgarian rose, whose oil is as valuable as it is rich in fragrance.
From a lovely woman who has lived in Berlin for a long time and organizes trips to the rose bloom in her Bulgarian homeland, I have long been getting my rose water and occasionally this wonderful oil.
Thus, I encounter a beloved acquaintance here, whose scent in "Narcissus Orientalis" once again forms a sensually intoxicating, balsamic highlight.
So far slightly fruity and very rich floral, this exceedingly feminine fragrance composition now develops warm and sensual. It blooms to full beauty.
The base note impresses with a variety of erotic spices; they could have been gathered directly on the island of Aphrodite.
Warm, enchanting vanilla aromas and the sweetness of tonka bean are skillfully mixed here with resins and oils that caress and entice - tempt!
Even I, "fish blood," experience an exceptionally animalistic, sensual fragrance explosion at this point!
A true fragrance orgy: at the moment, I prefer a wide divan with soft cushions over a flying carpet.

"Narcissus Orientalis" is an extraordinary work of fragrance art that deeply moves me.
These dreamy sensations are further enhanced by the long-lasting nature.
Thus, it is possible to fully enjoy and exhaust the individual stages of the balanced fragrance development.
"Narcissus Orientalis" is a lover's scent that awakens lovers and the senses!
Therefore, it is not suitable for me during the day: I save this sensually, slightly arousing floating for the evening!

Thank you, Annette, for this beautiful fairy tale from "1,001 nights" that you tell me with your fragrance.

*) In the original comment, a very silly mistake occurred at the marked point.
I have now corrected this and thank Annette Neuffer for kindly pointing it out to me.

Complex Composition
One must simply pay respect to Annette Neuffer's creations. The very fact that this perfumer, who is also a jazz musician, has approached the establishment of her own fragrance manufactory in a completely self-taught and determined manner is fantastic!

Neuffer uses only the finest raw materials of the best quality - and you can really smell it!
With her, it is - fortunately! - everything but the chemical kitchen of the super giants from the mainstream: natural, multidimensional fragrance materials instead of monomolecular "aroma chemicals," polyphonic fragrance compositions that inspire the imagination, along with a unique signature, almost a "Neufferiade" (especially the base often consists of beeswax absolute and natural "animal notes").

"Narcissus Orientalis" is a magnificent perfume for all who love white flowers. After a spectacular start with galbanum, narcissus, osmanthus, and jasmine follow...captivating, indolic, but not "overwhelming" (in a negative sense). Everything is finely balanced, wisely measured, tastefully connected.
The base features a lot of vanilla and cocoa, along with the often-used beeswax absolute and those certain, very subtle "animal notes" that one must appreciate. A skin perfume that everyone will enjoy who prefers this special, "erotic" style.
(P.S. Personally, I do not get along well with "white flowers," unfortunately, unfortunately.
I also do not like beeswax or honey notes very much... I don't eat honey either. For me, "Narcissus Orientalis" is therefore not a scent I would wear myself. However, I still find it very, very recommendable due to the high quality of the ingredients and the extraordinary perfumer, if it fits into one's personal scent preferences, which it does not for me. But there are still plenty of other Neuffer creations for me to discover... - "Stardust" is waiting for me today).

This is indeed a great scent
Narcissus Orientalis. It was a gift for my wife. She loves this scent. So do I.

I have rarely experienced such a precise "sequence" of notes as with Narcissus Orientalis. First the wonderful bitter orange and the fruity mandarin, then the daffodil in full bloom, surrounded by other lovely flowers, and finally the sweet honey, sandalwood, and also the cocoa. All accompanied by the delicate vanilla. This is great fragrance cinema. No doubt about it.

Is the scent worth its proud price? That’s something everyone has to decide for themselves. I certainly don’t regret giving it to my wife. It’s also a shared, therefore double joy, since we both benefit from it :)
