Salome
Dance Salome, dance for me. Light the lights in the temple and watch her move sensually to the beat of the music. Every step is a sin, every turn a doom. Fire red like a bitter orange her hair and wild the long mane. Decorated with braided daffodils and a crown of white jasmine on the head. White as ivory the sinful skin. Her hips are covered with delicate organza veils. Bouquets of Osmanthus adorn their shackles and are decorated with golden bells. Every step a lure call and every pose a downfall of the male soul. Pour white rose petals over your body and dribble the golden hot beeswax on your body and let it flow over your loins. Take the necklaces of the sweetest vanilla, tonka, cocoa and patchouli filled cups of smoke and swing them like whips around your noble body at the dance of Salome. Twitching your trembling body in tender-animal ecstasy. The daggers in my hands and on my neck. Who can resist you? You are the sweet death and nirvana of femininity. Dance Salome... dance!

For me, Narcissus Orientalis is the fragrance of Salome. Captured in one of the latest works by Annette Neuffer. A perfume like a sinfully sweet dance of innocence and eroticism. A dance that begins so innocently and ends in devotional femininity. Here every scent is a pose and every chord a lure. Tart and bitter notes of red bitter orange and mandarin blend with delicate floral white notes of narcissus, jasmine, orange blossom and seductive osmanthus. Narcissus Orientalis is until then a bouquet of delicate femininity, but only until then. From the delicate bouquet flow little by little creamy waxy notes. Beeswax Absolute coats the bouquet with its warm creaminess. Attractive notes of vanilla and tonka emanate from Narcissus Orientalis and give the fragrance with creamy benzoin, patchouli and powdery-dry cocoa a fabulous warmth and attraction. A desirable scent of femininity, innocence and vice is born. Indescribably beautiful, indescribably mysterious and indescribably tempting.

With Narcissus Orientalis, no man will lose his head, but he will certainly be very twisted, should he perceive him.
I'm sure you are!

a coloured carpet of dreams
It was a tulip that six-year-old Maria Sybilla Merian tore down in the garden of a Frankfurt merchant in cold March in order to draw it. She did not know how valuable this onion plant was and that it came from the Orient to the big city with a caravan of spices.
And of course the poor little one got in big trouble!
This story is one of the beginnings of the work of a woman who gave us the most beautiful and accurate copper engravings of flowers and plants that exist.
It's a pleasure to look at them and sink into them.

Also Annette Neuffer's "Narcissus Orientalis" conjures up such a flower painting.
No, it actually creates the illusion of a generously patterned warming cashmere shawl or the opulence of a precious oriental carpet; coloured, soft and noble through and through.
Maybe it's the carpet that takes you into the magical world of 1,001 nights - who knows!

Again it is a large number of different scents that have been very impressively woven into "Narcissus Orientalis".
There is already the interesting freshness of the fruity fragrance opening. This one is spicy, warm and pleasantly resinous, caressed by galbanum.
Galbanum, with its great healing effect, is even said to heal wounds; here certainly also those that some souls carry around with them. Thus the inner doors open for a dreamlike and beautiful heart note.
The narcissus in light sweetness, which gives it its name, meets the cordiality of a particularly beautiful orange blossom and the exotic magic of osmanthus.
Once again I would like to remind you that this shrub only blooms for a single night and its flowers are therefore particularly valuable. And not only in tea, but also in many fragrances, as has been shown in the meantime.
The elegantly reserved aroma of cashmere wood (Jasmine-Sambac) fits perfectly with the previous fragrance.
I know the maid in the green, who also bears the beautiful family name "Damascena", from various parks and gardens. There she plays harmonically in the large orchestra of scents: as here too.
"Damascena" - "Damascus" is one of the words that tempt me; it sends me on a journey to unknown destinations that I cannot name.
Here it is again the "Rosa damascena", the rare Bulgarian rose, whose oil is as valuable as rich in fragrance.
From a nice woman, who has been living in Berlin for a long time and organizes the trips to the rose blossom in her Bulgarian homeland and has been doing them successfully for years, I have been getting my rose water for a long time and now and then also this wonderful oil.
So here I meet a beloved acquaintance, whose scent in "Narcissus Orientalis" again forms a balsamic climax intoxicating the senses.
So far slightly fruity and very richly flowery, this extremely feminine fragrance composition is now developing warmly and sensually. She blossoms to full beauty.
The base note captivates with a variety of erotic spices; they could have been collected directly on the island of Aphrodite.
Warm, beguiling vanilla aromas and the sweetness of the tonka bean are skilfully mixed with resins and oils that caress and entice - tempt!
Even I "fish blood" experience at this point a distinctly animalistic, sensual scent explosion!
A true scent orgy: at the moment I prefer a wide Divan with soft cushions to a flying carpet.

"Narcissus Orientalis" is an extraordinary fragrance work of art that gets very under my skin.
Whereby these dreamlike feelings are still increased by the long durability.
This makes it possible to fully enjoy and exploit the individual stages of balanced fragrance development.
"Narcissus Orientalis" is a scent for lovers that awakens lovers and the senses!
Therefore also not suitable for me during the day: I save this sensual, slightly exciting floating for the evening!

Thank you Annette for this beautiful fairy tale from "1.001 Night", which you tell me with your scent.

Complex composition
Annette Neuffer's creations simply deserve respect. The fact alone that this perfumer, who is also a jazz musician, took a completely self-taught and purposeful approach to setting up her own fragrance manufactory is fantastic!

Neuffer uses only the finest raw materials in the best quality - and you can really smell that!
With her is - fortunately! - everything else than in the chemical kitchen of the super giants of the mainstream: natural, multidimensional scents instead of the monomolecular "aromachemicals", polyphonic scent compositions that inspire the imagination, plus an own handwriting, almost a "neufferiade" (especially the basis often consists of Bienenwax absolute and natural "animal notes").
>
"Narcissus Orientalis is a great perfume for those who love white flowers. After a brilliant start with Galbanum, Narcissus, Osmanthus and Jasmin...beguiling, Indian, but not "knocking out" (in the negative sense). Everything is finely balanced, cleverly balanced, tastefully combined.
The base has a lot of vanilla and cocoa, in addition to the often used beeswax absolute and these certain, very subtle "animal notes" that you have to like. A skin perfume that everyone who prefers this special "erotic" style will enjoy.
(P.S. Personally, I'm not good with "white flowers", unfortunately, unfortunately.
I also don't like beeswax or honey notes very much... i'm not eating honey either. For me, "Narcissus Orientalis" is not a fragrance I would wear myself. However, because of the high quality of the ingredients and the extraordinary perfumer, find it very, very recommendable if it fits into my personal scent beet scheme, which it does not do with me. But there are still enough other Neufferts for me to discover... - "Stardust" is waiting for me today).

That's a great fragrance
Narcissus Orientalis. It was a gift for my wife. She loves that scent. Me too.

Rarely have I experienced such a precise "sequence" of notes as with Narcissus Orientalis. First the wonderful bitter orange and the fruity mandarin, then the narcissus in full bloom, surrounded by other great flowers and finally the sweet honey, the sandalwood and also the cocoa. All accompanied by the fine vanilla. It's big scented cinema. No doubt about it.

Is the fragrance worth its proud price? That's for everyone to decide. I certainly haven't regretted giving it to my wife. It's also a shared, double joy, because we both get something out of it :)

I feel like I’ve slipped down a rabbit hole into a fantastical realm. ...
A White Floral Gourmand - heady and indolic, creamy and narcotic narcissus with a gloriously pongy, and yes, chewy beeswax base - SWOON - I love it!
If I try I can pick out most of the wonderfully high quality ingredients, but I’m not so interested in dissecting this one - I just want to lounge around all day, reapplying Narcissus Orientalis every couple of hours for the amazing indoles in the opening and the gorgeous pongy little furry animal beeswax dry down.
I feel like I’ve slipped down a rabbit hole into a fantastical realm; I’m having a tea party with giant fuzzy bees and pollen dusted butterflies, we’re feasting on nectar and funky, chewy beeswax fresh from the hive. We’re enjoying our spoils so much and, distracted by our orgiastic gluttony, we don’t realise we’re being enveloped by mounds of sweet narcissi, smothered beneath their fragrant, heavy petals. What a wonderful way to go!
