Indiana Jones is disappointed!
Hello you eternally sniffing people, how are you doing? I hope well! :)
I tested a fragrance again, but nothing new, rather something that is actually quite old news. Well, okay, it's "only" eight years old, but the brand should be quite well-known.
The scent "Adventurer" might be a bit less known, or in other words, perhaps it is known, but hardly anyone has really tested it. You perfume lovers tend to ignore everything that doesn't have Amouage, Chanel, Xerjoff, or something similar on the label,… wow, you are spoiled :D

However, there are indeed perfumes that smell great even among seemingly less impressive scents! And Aramis Adventurer… well, okay,… I have to admit that Adventurer is actually not that great, at least I didn't like it, as it smells quite generic and has a noticeably synthetic aura, but you know what I mean. I at least tried it instead of avoiding a scent from the start! And what do we learn from this: Essentially nothing, because if the scent had been really great, I could have at least said: "See what you're missing out on if you never test supposedly bad scents!", but as it is… well, I'm really at a loss for words, and that's despite the fact that I'm constantly rambling on here, argh! :D

Anyway, I'll get to the scent description, which probably no one will read now because your interest in the scent has surely long since faded. But if you stick it out until the end, I will definitely write something about cats somewhere :D

The scent:
The scent starts citrusy with lemon and bergamot, with the top note overall reminiscent of an aftershave. Then it continues quite aquatic, followed by a bit of pepper and floral, sweet-smelling lavender and rose notes.
From the heart note, the scent is both fresh and sweet, but still doesn't lose its aftershave character.
In the base, alongside all the fragrance notes, there is now also a hint of moss, which admittedly elevates the scent a bit. However, the sweet notes eventually start to smell a bit synthetic and bother me even more later on, as the scent then begins to smell significantly worse or more disturbing due to this synthetic quality.

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage can be compared to many fleeting, fresh scents. Initially very briefly refreshing and zesty, but then, just a few minutes later, rather average and not particularly projecting. For people nearby, it is still sufficient to be noticed. In terms of longevity, I think the scent performs well with about six hours, especially for a fresh scent.

The bottle:
The bottle is quite simple and has a rectangular design. The fragrance liquid is light blue, which is fitting for the aquatic notes. On the front, the well-known Aramis label is visible, topped off with a cylindrical, chrome-plated cap. Nothing exciting, but also nothing hideous.

Conclusion:
The scent is, well, not exactly adventurous. Even though I tried to find something great about the scent by humming the Indiana Jones theme tune the whole time during testing (yes, yes, I'm a freak, blah blah :D), I unfortunately have to say that Adventurer has become a rather inconsequential, fresh, generic scent with aquatic notes. The lavender makes it seem "older" or more classic without standing out from many other similar scents.
It starts off not so badly, but within the next 30 minutes becomes too artificial and also less pleasant-smelling, so that I felt rather tortured by the scent afterwards.

It can certainly be worn best on warm days in spring and summer; I would use it at most as a daytime scent, for everything else it is just a bit too unremarkable.

Especially for the price, there are hundreds of other, much higher quality or much better smelling fragrances, so I really can't recommend testing this one… :D

Well, that's it from me again, and yes, have a nice evening :)

PS: Yes, I wanted to write something about cats. I'll just say the following: I now have new cats again. Two snow-white kittens, but more information and especially photos will come later! Be patient :D

A somewhat herbal fellow with limited justification for existence
Offshoot of the original Aramis? At first, one thinks of adidas' "Adventure" and Davidoff's "Adventure" when encountering "Adventurer," with the former association roughly outlining the direction of the fragrance journey.

Not sweet or lively, but rather green, a bit scratchy, Aramis presents itself.
The lemony lemon has something intrusive, sour. The whole thing feels green, using more of the stems than the flowers of the geranium.

It becomes woody and mossy over time, although I already had the impression after 10 minutes that this scent does not "get" me.

Like an unnecessary metamorphosis from the clear, complex "Aramis," the old adidas "Adventure," and a somewhat scratchy base - the fragrance has little more to offer, and I wonder who really needs it..

Navigatio Sancti Brendani
We are in the year 565 AD. Brendan, a simple monk in a monastery on the Irish west coast, stands by the sea day after day, wondering what might be out there where the sun sinks into the sea.
One day, he decides to travel with 12 companions to where the sun sets on the horizon, to explore what might be on the other side.
They build a Curragh - a traditional Irish type of boat - and take various things with them on their journey. Among them is moss, which captures all the scents for which our island is known, and they set off on the long journey.
In every land they discover, they give moss as gifts, and when the people ask what that scent is, Brendan and his companions reply, "What you smell is the scent of Éire. It is the fragrance of wild landscapes and green hills, the scent of wind and storm, mixed with the sea that is hurled against the coasts when the storm blows. It is the smell of rain as it falls on green meadows and green moss. It is the invitation 'will you come to the Bower (Bower is an old English term for a garden, or paradise).' This scent, my friend, is Ireland in all its facets."
And the people who smelled this moss thought to themselves, "Truly, this Éire must be a special, a mystical place, and these people must be true adventurers to bring this scent to us so that we can taste it."
Brendan became known for his journey, the Navigatio Brendani, and St. Brendan is the patron saint of sailors; however, he and his companions likely did not take moss on the journey that, as determined in 1976, probably led all the way to America.

Back to the present:
Aramis Adventurer is unfortunately not a scent from Ireland, but it truly captures our small and very beautiful island quite well. It is not a rough, unrefined scent, but has numerous warm nuances.
It is a fragrance for adventurers who walk through the expansive heathlands in County Kerry, climb Croagh Patrick or the Hill of Tara (seat of our high kings), or let the wind blow around their noses at the Cliffs of Moher.
I think Ireland hardly crossed the mind of the creator of the fragrance, but he has captured Ireland very well with this scent, although the modern adventurer hardly wears a fragrance.
However, this scent is suitable for the urban jungle in Dublin, where one can travel back in time to the era of St. Brendan or our high kings, when the Irish landscapes were still barren and rough and life was truly hard. And when wearing the scent, one feels like Brian Boru when he defeated the Vikings at the Battle of Clontarf on Good Friday in 1014, or like the rebels of Easter 1916, who fought for the freedom of Ireland.

I would rather associate this scent with Michael Collins, who, like no other, represented Ireland.

P.S.: What brings me to this praise is the composition of Adventurer, very well balanced, where I can smell the moss, cedar, and absinthe more strongly than the other components, and I must say, I really like this combination. And... it is not an Acquate, despite the blue color; it is a day at the sea :)

Smells very different than any fragrance that I've owned. I think the absinthe is the high note in this one. It's a 50/50 blind buy.

Image of an explorer sailing the sea, not a daring adventurer. Just a juvenile aquatic for Aramis fans, but it's a good choice for students.

Despite a strong synthetic vibe, the scent has a good aura thanks to its sweet-aromatic, green-woody, and fruity-citrus notes.

If you can't test the scent, just saw wood all day and lie down in fresh moss during your break... Awesome, really good!!

Fruity start, faded version of the classic, overly aquatized and overloaded with Irish moss. Doesn't convince me.

Fresh, green, aquatic... boring.
The scent is just okay. It’s not bothersome, but it doesn’t excite either. The longevity is moderate.
