Peachy almond in a vanilla sauce
This woman at the counter got me tricked into spraying this on my arm. It smelled nice at first. A bit fruity, like peach, a bit of almond thrown in for good fun. I really liked that part.

Those lasted for about a half an hour. Then came the head-achy part. For a couple of hours, the sweet peach became really pungent. Very sweet with sour undertone. But that also fades away, and then this beautiful vanilla backbone starts to shine. It’s controversial maybe but I’m a sucker for vanilla.

I must say though, it’s marketed as unisex but I think it’s more feminine leaning. I can imagine how this may amp up the beauty of women.

Anyway, as always with the brand: beautiful packaging and presentation. Buy it. If you don’t like the scent, you’ll always have a beautiful ornament in your collection.

FLAME IS FIRE!
There are better noses than mine to be sure. I don't always pick up all the notes and accords of a fragrance. However, I know what smells good, and I know what I like. Sacred Flame smells good and I like it! There is this warm, spicy, earthy opening with a faint fruitiness, very subtle but very present. It starts out exciting, invigorating, it gives you a rush. I think a fragrance should not only smell great but should make you feel a certain way while you wear it. The liner notes use the world smoldering and that is a good description...maybe simmering is even better, because it's continuously hot and active. The dry down gives citrus and cinnamon and there's some rose here also. The performance is beast mode, 12 hours or more (days on clothes) and the sillage is incredible. I've worn this twice and both times got multiple compliments. I love, love, love Sacred Flame! This fragrance is FIRE!!

Signature Scent Worthy
First and foremost I love this house and this offering is no exception. There's a lot going on with this fragrance from the fruits in the top accords to the gourmand dry-down that is enhanced with the vanilla and amber base notes which has lasted a good 9 hours and I am still projecting. I would put this one up there with Triumph Of Bacchus Extrait and Danae if you want to smell like a million bucks. It is as close to perfection as a person can get and usually with Argos fragrances they smell even better after they have macerated awhile. Definitely signature scent worthy...

A Controlled Fire
If you’re a fan of fresh, light, citrusy, and inoffensive scents, this might be too intense for you.

Sacred Flame opens with an extremely spicy and slightly smoky aroma. By the Fireplace, on the other hand, has a very smoky, smoldering fire scent. In my opinion, Sacred Flame leans more towards a controlled fire, while By the Fireplace is more smoke. However, it can be overwhelming if over-sprayed, as it can choke you and others out.

The scent journey is captivating! What starts as fiery spiciness gradually and incrementally diminishes. There are no sudden changes; the fire is turned down slowly and subtly. After about 2-3 hours, you’ll be wearing an amber sandalwood scent that retains enough of its fire vibe to make it unique. Enjoy the olfactory journey. When you reach the destination, you’ll be glad you did. If you like By the Fireplace but find the smokiness overwhelming, this is a great alternative.

While I won’t wear this in the summer, I’ll spray Sacred Flame the other nine months of the year. In my opinion, it can be dressed up or down. I might not choose this for formal events, but I’ll reach for it without hesitation on all other occasions.

Levels to this
This was a deliberate purchase, the notes were an interesting combination. To get the best out of the Sacred Flame is to understand that it evolves over time. Don't be afraid of the initial raw power, it is the beginning of something special with depth and unexpected nuances to come, as it is designed to evolve and reveal new facets over time, ensuring a unique experience, also making the right choices to layer because Its profile will change over its evolution. Full Masceration may be 8 -12 months so be sure to use it at each stage of change. Easy 9.5

Pepper tree and clove are very forward. Less synthetic than others from this house. Not a strong projector nor strong sillage. Bit dissapointed.

It smells strongly of capsicum with a sweet amber/vanilla undertone. Bizarre, honestly.

Opening is very chaotic and needs getting used to, but dry down is very good with cinnamon and vanilla and ginger. stays for days on clothes
