Smells Like Teen Spirit
I became aware of this fragrance via TikTok. While scrolling, a bearded man in a baseball cap suddenly appeared on my screen and claimed that this fragrance smelled like child support and was incredibly dangerous. I knew what it meant and laughed, but at the same time I had some concerns about the light that was being thrown on the woman. It was really very crude and provocative. And although I had long since swiped on, the thought stuck in my head: what the hell does child support smell like?
The experience begins with a somewhat clunky and very kitschy bottle. I like the design. The color, the round shape and the drop design actually really appeal to me. The lid is an absolute nightmare, as sooner or later the plastic ring comes off. However, as this phenomenon has already occurred with other bottles, I always have a small tube of superglue to hand. But the rest of the lid sits bombproof on the spray head.
And the scent? I would say it smells just like its name! In the opening, you get a beautiful interplay of fresh and deep, earthy notes with a hint of berries. It then becomes sweeter in the drydown. When I imagine the fragrance as a person, I see a graceful 30-something woman in an elegant, flattering business outfit. It is a very grown-up fragrance. Although I (currently) prefer very sweet scents that smell of sugar and/or fruit, I really enjoy wearing it and could even imagine it as a signature fragrance. I can't confirm that it smells like Mon Paris Eau de Parfum. If anything, Mon Paris is a very pared-down version of Chic.
An absolute stroke of luck for me.
