Smells Like Teen Spirit
I became aware of this fragrance through TikTok. While scrolling, a bearded man wearing a baseball cap suddenly appeared on my screen and claimed that this scent smells like child support and is incredibly dangerous. I understood what he meant and laughed, but at the same time, I had some concerns about the light this cast on women. It was really very clumsy and provocatively phrased. And even though I had long swiped past it, the thought stuck in my head: what the hell does child support smell like?
The experience begins with a somewhat clunky and very kitschy bottle. I like the design. The color, the round shape, and the drop design actually appeal to me a lot. The cap is an absolute nightmare, as the plastic ring will eventually come loose. However, since this phenomenon has already occurred with other bottles, I always have a small tube of super glue on hand. The rest of the cap sits very securely on the spray head.
And the scent? I would say it smells just like its name! In the opening, you get a nice interplay of fresh and deep, earthy notes with a hint of berries. In the drydown, it becomes sweeter. If I imagine the scent as a person, I see a graceful woman over 30 years old in an elegant, flattering business outfit. It is a very mature fragrance. Although I currently prefer very sweet scents that smell of sugar and/or fruit, I have an incredible amount of fun wearing it; I could even see it as my signature scent. I cannot confirm that it smells like "Mon Paris (Eau de Parfum) | Yves Saint Laurent." If anything, Mon Paris is a very toned-down version of Chic.
For me, an absolute stroke of luck.
