nostalgic summer joy: peach punch
Do you remember the time when peach punch was simply part of summer?
A can of peaches (and pineapples) was always in stock, wine and sparkling wine too - neither very sophisticated, it was a punch after all, and the summer was warm and the mood in the group was good and usually became even more cheerful and louder afterwards.
Avon's "Far Away" Eau de Parfum from 1994 is carried by the aromas of sweet, ripe peaches and wonderful freesia blossoms.
You can also find these delightful scent notes in "Far Away Fantasy" and "Rare Gold".
Although they are missing from the fragrance pyramid of "Far Away Infinity" from 2016, my skin and my little nose remember: Hey, a comeback of the peach punch!
"Far Away Infinity" appears overall a bit more elegant and richer than its older sisters in scent; it does not reflect the carefree "Happy Summer Feeling" as much, but wants to appear a bit more serious.
This is already evident in the opening, where large-flowered gardenias adorn themselves with the spicy-strong aromas of marigold and the classically fresh bergamot.
The floral scent tones of the heart note are also more exquisite: jasmine, rich and sensual, and delicate orange blossoms from the very fine category share their white personalities with us: This is what a summer evening smells like, which no longer necessarily has to be spent on the balcony or in the home garden.
A nice street café or a small bar fits well too; perhaps some standing tables in the park ...
This summery fragrance pleasure also gets a base that harmonizes with its lightness, with warm vanilla, creamy-animalistic sandalwood, and earthy-spicy patchouli that can even eroticize.
It’s time for a little flirtation!
Even today, I find all these scents simply enchanting!
Their fragrance notes are well dosed and arranged, without making great claims to the higher leagues of the fragrance world.
Instead, they carry summer and cheerfulness, laughter and charm within them, and many memories!
Avon was very good at this at that time with many fragrances:
Simply giving joy!
