Sweet blackcurrant notes
Distinctly fruity with sweet blackcurrant notes, complemented by a refreshing berry nuance. It fades quickly, even on fabric, and often requires frequent, generous reapplications to maintain its presence, making it a light yet pleasant choice that remains softly enjoyable overall for daily wear too.

Gentle Rebel
As a teenager, I could hardly wait for the arrival of our Avon consultant, named Wally, because her collection completely appealed to me.

Decorative cosmetics - and then the fragrances that Avon had filled in the most lovely bottles.
The prettiest figurines contained the most beautiful scents.

Unfortunately, Avon has moved away from the playful variety of bottles - although there are still some fragrances from back then.

So I always have Far Away in my collection - and I wouldn't want to miss it.
But what about Far Away Rebel?

Curiosity drove me to a blind purchase.

Rebel, however, is derived from the original scent "Far Away."

But that doesn't matter, as Rebel appeals to me very much in its sweet nature.
The blackcurrant liqueur is fruity sweet - nestled in a soft plum.
The jasmine tones down the sweetness a bit - and together with the lily of the valley, a floral phase emerges.
The salted caramel is very distinctive - and culminates in creamy chocolate.

This rebel wraps you around her finger and knows how to assert herself in a gentle, endearing way.

I enjoy having her close by - and she also welcomes closeness in a friendly manner.

Sweet Rebel
Far Away Rebel was the first new addition to the Far Away line since 2018; due to the fantastic fragrance pyramid that hinted at an exciting sweet-gourmand scent and the strong advertising campaign, I was quite curious:

"You have this one life. How do you want to spend it? With regrets? Apologies? By trying to copy someone and denying yourself? Do you want to be afraid of others' reactions? Be brave and trust yourself. Highlight your true self. Walk confidently on your own path and don't let obstacles deter you! Embrace challenges and live your life the way you want. It’s your life and you only have one!"

So says the Avon advertising department, presenting the new addition in a new, squarer design that still retains the typical rounded shape of the other versions and the curved plastic arc - only this time it has no tag. At least that’s the theory about the new "Rebel" from Avon.

In practice, I must first mention that the bottle is surprisingly comfortable to hold and opens and closes significantly better and faster than its competitors due to the much grippier cap. It feels high-quality and sturdy, and in reality, it impresses just as much with rich colors and golden engraving/golden lettering as it does in the promotional images.

The scent itself only faintly, but still noticeably, resembles the original Far Away; it leans towards the increasingly popular fragrances that smell of sweet notes or candies, similar to Paco Rabanne's Pure XS, which it somewhat resembles. What I can primarily detect are the blackcurrant liqueur, the well-harmonizing salted caramel, and light notes of chocolate, plum, and amber. The other components of the fragrance pyramid I can hardly perceive at all.

Overall, Far Away Rebel was initially very unusual for me, as I expected a more pronounced presence of the main note (as with the other editions), but I quickly got used to the scent and find it to be a great companion, especially (but not only) for the cooler seasons, radiating both a rebellious character and a lot of warmth and comfort.

For those who enjoy the Far Away line or fragrances from Avon in general, I can only recommend it. There are also very affordable 10 ml travel sprays available for testing. I really hope there will be a new addition this year or that the Far Away Soleil, which also launched last year, will finally make its way to us in Europe.

The plum top note is so beautifully cheerful, but the base is too generic, unfortunately the caramel gets lost. Category is just okay for me.

The rebel has found safety. From the "fruit" liqueur with chocolate. Synthetic + super sweet. Misses the pretty bottle.

Incredible scent with an interesting transformation:
from squeaky sweet berry-colored soda to a smoky dark & sensual base! (worth a try!)

Fruity at the start, a delicate floral richness with an oriental touch, a gentle gourmand base with salt caramel and chocolate, lovely, I like it!

Similar to Black Opium, but on me it has a killer sillage
Less is more here + I find it extremely sweet (sweeter than BO)

First light memories of Alien in a gentle way, but still different, beautifully vanilla, rounded, and cozy.

This rebel smells just like I wished Alien would. I perceive blackcurrant, jasmine, and chocolate the strongest. Lasts forever!

That's how I imagine the wearer, CHEEKY and rebellious. I can smell the blackcurrant liqueur and chocolate the most.
