Not green, like the grass of a football arena...
...but the wild, lush green of an untouched Spanish landscape.
While I had already encountered something truly green with variations from Carven, Diagonal Sport surpasses this result by far.
It’s as if you drive out of the city - for example, Barcelona or Valencia, etc. - through gardens and green cultural landscapes to the untouched areas of the Spanish national parks. There, everything grows wild and green in all variations.
From the bright, delicate sun-green of wildflowers and the green of wild herbs, to the grass green of various grasses, the leaf green of shrubs and trees, up to the dark green of pines - everything is represented in Diagonal Sport.
You can smell the resinous tree trunks, the sun-warmed earth that exudes a nearly sweet scent. The bitterness of some shrub leaves and their equally bitter, tart fruits, the pine cones with the resin sticking to them.
I have never experienced such a GREEN fragrance as this. It is quite unisex, although it is too strong for my nose and overall does not fall into my preferred category. However, it is very interesting for all lovers of green scents.
The sillage is quite decent and so is the longevity. Unfortunately, I could only track down the version still produced by Puig for some time; the original version has completely disappeared from the market. Diagonal Sport absolutely falls into the niche category for me and must have had some admirers during its lifetime!
