Tea, tea, tea, and the feeling of happiness rises!
Vanithé by Nez à Nez is a tea fragrance. And where there is a tea fragrance, I am usually not far away! Yay! After a long time, I finally get to try a tea fragrance again, and the best part is that there are not just one but two tea notes in it, which makes the anticipation even greater.
So first, I brew myself a tea; I think I'll go for rooibos this time. Then I kick my cat out of my room. I know, that sounds harsh, but right now he is very clingy and loves to lounge on my table. I don't mind; I actually like it, but sometimes his tail whips around so much that he accidentally dips the tip of it ever so slightly into my cup, making my tea full of cat hair… yuck… :D
Especially now, when my table is already crowded, as my Christmas tree is still sitting on it (now that Christmas is over, I really should put it away…). And every time Mr. Cat (his real name is Haydut, which means rogue in Turkish) brushes against the tree, a third of the decorations falls off… *sigh*
Anyway, back to the fragrance. Tea, tea, tea, I can hardly wait!
Over time, a nice sweetness from honey emerges, which also slightly reminds me of amber. I’m a bit uncertain about the jasmine tea, as the Earl Grey or black tea is more prominent.
In the background, you can smell soft, woody notes. Here, the guaiac wood is more pronounced than the cedar, which you can only recognize if you see that it is listed in the fragrance pyramid.
Even in the base, the tea scent remains (though unfortunately quite weak). The main notes of the base are still (amber-like) honey and a bit of tonka bean. The vanilla is surprisingly weak.
The longevity is actually good, but it seems a bit less lasting because the sillage is weaker in the later hours. But generally, I would expect it to last from eight to ten hours.
Sooo,…
You probably guessed it; the fragrance is definitely my thing, right? If so, you're right. I actually really liked Vanithé, not just because it contains tea, but because the overall composition is simply right. Sure, the fragrance could have been a tad stronger in terms of sillage, but I’m glad it’s not too close to the skin.
The fragrance exudes an aura of calm and serenity and is very suitable for relaxing, or chilling, as one might say :D
Of course, you can also wear the fragrance daily, for example, at work or just to smell good (or as I said, to radiate an aura of calm). It’s just a bit weak for going out, but maybe you can spray it on more often.
Anyway, it is gentle, beautiful, and although it leans a bit towards spring and summer, I think it works well as an all-rounder.
The only downside is: The fragrance is once again a scent for you silly ladies *sigh*
On the other hand,… White Tea by Elizabeth Arden is also a women’s fragrance that is now in my possession. Maybe I can use this fragrance for myself someday :D
So… the review is finished, just like my tea. It’s time to bring back the scratching beast, who will of course stick his face into the empty cup, so that I’ll have to use a new cup for any potential new tea… *sigh* :DD
I wish you a lovely evening (and I’m going to get a new cup of tea, because we still have cookies from all the holidays that go wonderfully with tea, yay!)

The scent:
Right from the start, I smell delicious black tea with a hint of lemon in it, which is probably the verbena. It smells fresh, even though it’s not really refreshing. While I’m unsure about the verbena, I can definitely say that the rosemary is quite noticeable. And it fits well with the tea scent, even though rosemary usually has a rather strong, herbaceous aroma. Over time, a nice sweetness from honey emerges, which also slightly reminds me of amber. I’m a bit uncertain about the jasmine tea, as the Earl Grey or black tea is more prominent.

The sillage and longevity:
The projection of the fragrance is rather moderate and weakens a bit over time. On the skin, it always smells nice, but unfortunately, you don’t leave a real scent trail with this fragrance. The longevity is actually good, but it seems a bit less lasting because the sillage is weaker in the later hours. But generally, I would expect it to last from eight to ten hours.
The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular with rounded corners and edges, filled with a yellowish fragrance liquid. There is no label; the name of the fragrance (as well as the brand) is printed directly on the bottle. The thin neck is cylindrical and gold-plated, and the similarly thin and cylindrical cap sits on top. A bit simple, but nicely done. Sooo,…
