Decent and juicy
Wanted Tonic opens up with a generic blue-ish aroma that is blended with a fairly prominent lime note.

The lime is decent and juicy within the mix and probably a highlight for me. The ginger here is fine, adding a nice spice, and you get that usual warm/lemony/spicy cardamom note that is a staple in the Wanted series.

That being said, this is closest to Coach Man Blue versus any other fragrance out there. It’s not the same, though. That one is woodier, heavier and has a more prominent absinthe note. Neither of these two are great fragrances, though.

The citrus is going to lead the way throughout most of the wear. The aquatic accord will fade off and the cardamom will take over as the main source of spiciness from the earlier ginger dominance.

Then, you get some woodiness and greenish notes coming through. Patchouli and there might be another wood note in here, that’s note listed. The dry down has a fuzziness to it from the benzoin, but is mostly about a blue citrus aroma with hints of spice and light woody highlights.

Wanted Tonic isn’t a very complicated sort of cologne.

Wanted Tonic by Azzaro
Wanted Tonic by Azzaro is quite a nice fragrance. It’s inoffensive, which is a good thing… but it isn’t super special. It’s unique to other “blue” fragrances, but it gets lost because of how overwhelmed the category is. I will give credit to Azzaro Parfums for their recent shift to minimalism; I think a lot of perfumers try to impress, confuse, obfuscate, and dazzle customers with over-the-top, unconventional, “busy,” and/or downright offensive formulations. But this has led to, or reinforced preexisting linearity. Linear fragrances have their place, and I enjoy them if they are done well; Wanted Tonic is one of them. The longevity is good (what it should be) for an eau de toilette. I sprayed a piece of paper twice and I could still smell it 24 hours later. This fragrance’s projection is intimate, and can only be smelled close to the skin, which would normally bother me. Contextually, however, this isn’t a bad thing. The name of this fragrance evokes images of water to me. Unless water is stagnant, you shouldn’t be able to smell it. Instead of the intimate projection being an indication of poor quality, I think this fragrance is intended to be subtle since if it can be smelled by other people, you might be wanted. Does “Wanted” mean a sensual, carnal want (an attraction), or is it indicative of a manhunt? (There’s a bottle of tonic, and it must be kept secret.) Building on the imaginative scheme behind this fragrance, the only people that should be able to smell it are those who you allow to see your dangerous sensuality so they will be attracted to you, or you want to play a game because you’re confident in your abilities to evade the search for you; to hide, you must be out in the open. Because of the simplicity of the list of notes, they blend together, but they can be smelled individually. The scent once made my mouth water, which has never happened before with a fragrance. The lime adds a crystalline sweetness and sourness to the brightness and brawn of the ginger, and the patchouli adds a dark, dirty, fuzzy tone underneath and in the background that gets more raw with time. The lime pleases me because it’s a more uncommon citrus note (bergamot, orange, and lemon seem to be most common). I welcome the ginger, and I think it is underrated and underutilized; it can provide a source of spice that can exist in the heart instead of relying on a top or base note for spiciness. Despite the patchouli, the scent is fresh overall. The ginger is the foundation of this fragrance to me; if the ginger is 0, then the lime is +1 and the patchouli is -1, if that makes any sense. Interestingly, I actually get a licorice note from it. I also get a soapy (aldehydic) note. I disagree with people who say it smells synthetic. All in all, this is a good fragrance. Simple, yet imaginative… but not breathtaking, which can be good, and I think is successful in this instance. If you can find it discounted significantly, are a fan of those notes, and want something to wear in the day during spring and summer that won’t drown you and other people out, then I would recommend it. A friend lent their bottle to me for testing, and I’ve enjoyed it. The bottle is beautiful and hefty, and the atomizer is reliable and above average.

Huge Failure
I just can't understand why Azzaro decided to release this perfume. Maybe it's understandable if the release year was 1994 or 1997. But it was 2020. Wanted Tonic is no different from other common summer colognes that are already saturated in the market. The slight difference is that there is the 90's style sour citrus smell in addition to the cheap shower gel smell. And it's more of the old fresh type than the current trend of aquatic. But all these are helping to make Wanted Tonic a cheaper and worse perfume.

What I really don't understand is that they already have a Chrome series. Wanted Tonic has no competitiveness even compared to the works they've made a long time ago. I really enjoyed Wanted By Night and I also liked it, so I can't welcome Wanted Tonic, who has greatly dumbed down the quality of the entire Wanted series. It's sure to say that there's nothing to look forward to from this perfume unless you're the one who's collecting all of Azzaro's perfume.

Wanted - alive or sunk
I really intended to like this fragrance with all my might. After all, I have a soft spot for aquatic flankers from series, and even the unloved and unwanted sometimes attract me. So I bought it with great anticipation, tested it, and immediately listed it for gifting.

It opens quite okay in the first minute, relatively fresh, but afterwards it simply turns into an indefinable synthetic sludge - to put it bluntly. You can hardly find anything worse at the drugstore checkout.

Wanted DNA is somewhat hidden, but it's just sweet, hardly fruity, hardly fresh. Absolutely not a summer scent or God forbid an aquatic. Unfortunately, this one is as bad as everyone says, and rightly so.

Tried this again after a year, nothing unique but a really good blend of notes -lime, cardamom & touch of sweet ginger. Quite underrated!

It doesn’t smell exactly like any fragrance, but there’s enough of an amalgamation of ideas, that this seems somewhat familiar.

Within that spring and summer time frame, it’s mostly going to be a casual refreshing fragrance, limited to the daytime.

Cheap smelling perfume. I blind bought it assuming good quality smell as it is “Azzaro Wanted” it and got so disappointed.

Some ytbers say this is a generic and cheap smelling scent. This is a great lime and ginger combo. Similar to BB Tonic. Really nice actually

Wanted for the Tonne
Nasty-synthetic-sweet concoction

In my opinion, an unnecessary & failed flanker

50% typical Wanted note, but Tonic doesn't make it any better -> crazy synthetic bomb! My solution remains: Wanted not wanted ;-)

My personal synonym for sweet synthetic. Plus, there's a slightly bitter aftertaste - that's only for true fans.

It's so boring, unpleasant, and not worth the money at all. Expensive aftershave scent.
