Musky, sweet, soapy, fresh - signature-worthy, all-season appropriate
(Note: this is a review for the 2015 version; will update when testing how the 2024 release compares)
This is musky, sweet, soapy and fresh. Everything is blended well so the individual notes don't stand out.
The strawberry is a bit "tart", maybe due to the combo with apricot - but it makes for a "fresher" strawberry, that isn't as candy-like.
The bourbon feels perfectly musky, sweet, and "clean". There is also a lightly lactonic/"baby wipe" part of this fragrance (possibly the ultra-soapy jasmine that BBW does so well, like the soapy jasmine in Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin ) that is beautiful and well-balanced.
Because the composition dips into multiple seasons (musk could be great for colder weather, strawberry + apricot could be great for warmer weather, but the jasmine/soapy feel is all-seasonal), it feels appropriate for any season or time of day.
(P.S. BBW Pink Confetti is supposedly a repackage/dupe of Bourbon Strawberry & Vanilla)
*Update: The 2024 re-release is very different from the 2015 version. 2024 is mostly synthetic bourbon, and not much else. The OG formula is one of BBW's best fragrances in my opinion, so it's worth finding an older bottle to really experience all the notes (and to avoid the synthetic feel of this latest version)!
