Knot in the bathtowel

I had high hopes for this one (strong ties to the first Bottega Veneta fragrance!), but can't form any attachment to "Knot". It is a white floral with notes of orange blossom, neroli, white rose and peony. The added lavender enhances the "bathroom effect": the smell of fresh soap and herbaceous cleanliness, white bathtowels, white tiles. "Knot" does not belong to the plethora of common fruity florals, but it's somewhat generic in its use of orange blossom plus neroli, plus lavender &musk. The result is a fragrance with no warmth at all and rather synthetic overtones. No knot in my handkerchief to remind me of buying this one (in spite of the fantastic perfume vessel).

Sudsy

For some reason I didn't notice this perfume's soapiness when I bought it. Usually my nose doesn't malfunction at perfume counters, but the beautiful citrus, the florals and musk are soon so drenched in that sudsy note that it's hard to appreciate them. Not much else to say. Longevity and sillage are average.

Lavender and Jojoba Waxy Musk

Fresh Spicy Neroli, Orange and Lime in the opening which is fleeting. It has a sharp citric edge from the White Rose in the heart along with a creamy, dry and earthy Lavender that reminds me of a moisturing hand cream. Along with Jojoba which gives it a waxy, buttery texture. It does go very round, Floral, Musky and Hazy quickly after the brightness of the citric elements doesn't hang around long. You're left with a dusty lavender musk. I prefer the Lavender in bvlgari Au the Bleu as it's more Minty fresh rather than creamy and buttery here.

Nanu? That seems familiar to me?

When I purchased Bottega Veneta Eau Légère, I received a miniature of Knot.
Today, on this last day of the year, I applied Knot.

Well, I could be mistaken, maybe my nose is playing tricks on me, but this scent feels very familiar.
Knot is, for me, a scent twin of Alien Eau de Toilette. Perhaps others with more trained noses could make another comparison, but I have both here and they are very, very similar.

Knot is definitely a very warm, elegant scent, starting off distinctly with mandarin. It is not overly sweet, the sillage does not overwhelm. Rather, this fragrance caresses its wearer. One really thinks of sun-drenched orange and mandarin groves in sunny Italy.

Knot is truly a very beautiful and worth-testing fragrance, the development on the skin is very pleasant, not too intrusive, very noble, one can wear the scent in just about any situation.
It is present but not overpowering. I can easily imagine it in any season, although I would be more cautious with the dosage in summer. And I don't really think it's suitable for very young girls. But that's a matter of taste.
Overall successful.
With this, I can slide well into the new year.
I wish the same for all of you :)

no Gordian knot

Knot surprised me in two ways.

It is in no way tangled like a knot, and it is also not leathery like the Bottega.
No, the scent is clear and well-ordered.

Knot greets me fresh with lime and clementine, cooled by clear neroli.
The orange blossom adds gentle sunshine.
The lavender is pleasantly calming and the white rose delicately elegant.
The tonka bean is round and soft, providing a comforting finish.

My mom is in the hospital, and I spritz myself with the scent to avoid completely wearing out the carpet.
May everything turn out well.
