Fantasizing about delicious berry donuts...
Super sweet berries and vanilla. This isn't festive in the sense of Christmas-y - but I think it would be perfect for a street fair or a birthday party with sprinkled cake and punch. Very optimistic and fun!
Festive Fantasy opens with ripe cherries and dewberries, which could also be blackberries, supported by a touch of watery freesia. The vanilla and "fried dough" in the base is a "vanilla beignet accord" according to the official notes, and that makes sense. It doesn't smell overwhelmingly like fried food (thank goodness), but a bit like a fluffy donut. Yum! The official Britney fragrance IG also says that this has "sugar musk" instead of sugar and musk separately, whatever that is supposed to be. I smell a sweet, creamy kind of white musk that takes the scent out of the completely edible territory.
I tried this and Midnight Fantasy side by side. The fruity notes are basically the same, but the rest isn't. Midnight has a juicy-fresh sweetness that verges into shampoo or bubble bath territory, Festive is more vanillic and creamy. Even though I absolutely don't find Festive weak, it's not quite as in-your-face and loud as Midnight can be. Imagine the best parts of Midnight and regular Fantasy rolled into one delicious gourmand, and you're close to Festive Fantasy.
This also reminds me of some berry-vanilla-sugar Bath & Body Works scents, like Cotton Candy Clouds or Whipped Berry Meringue. I would pair this with the body care from those lines, they're not exact matches, but give a very similar vibe.
