Brit for Women Burberry 2004 Eau de Toilette

I put this on earlier in the day. I sniffed my wrist a few hours later, and I had to wrack my brain to remember what I put on. Then I remembered after looking at the bottle sitting on my bathroom counter.

This is not a distinct perfume at all. I DO like it; it's a nice spicy, creamy perfume that's great for cool weather. However, you could slap on a celebrity name or a brand like Hugo Boss on the label and I wouldn't know the difference. Longevity is between 4 to 6 hours on me.

When spraying, I get hungry. This is so fruity in a sweet way, it makes me feel like eating a fruit salad or diving into a huge fruit buffet. This is in my Burberry top three together with Burberry for women, a warm spicy fragrance and Brit Sheer, a citric lychee/mandarine combo.
This starts out sweet with sweet on top. Luckily, it has the citric note from Italian lime to bring the scent into balance. It moves through the sweetness and into the floral phase, elegantly presenting the peony. Finally, after some hours the vanilla and amber end the dance. No mahogany for my nose. Sillage is good.
The bottle has the classic Burberry look. I like it; square, simple and with a recognizable pattern.

This is one of the first fragrances I bought as a young adult and has stayed a fall/winter staple in my life ever since.
It’s not one of the most expensive perfumes I own. It’s actually the most affordable. It will never not remind me of my days in Uni studying for finals.

Brit (EDT) by Burberry is, in my opinion, a very beautiful fragrance for spring with excellent longevity.

At the beginning, I perceive the pear and the fresh lime, then the scent on my skin becomes very powdery and then glides into sweeter nuances. The pear remains subtly noticeable, with the powdery scent lying above it. Just right for those days when you still prefer to wear a silk scarf around your neck because the spring breeze is still a bit too fresh.

The fragrance is very suitable for everyday work - without being perceived as a "typical" business scent.

A peculiar sympathy...

Great, appetite-stimulating fruity-gourmand scent with a heartwarming finish. Excellent longevity (8 -10 hrs). Perfect for all not-too-hot days when you want a protective, loyal, and non-provocative companion ;-)
