Zesty Lemon and Peachouli

This is very fresh with an opening of Lemon and earthy Patchouli, A creamy heart of Peach with a sweet undertone of Jasmine. Very light, bright and airy.
Also quite Acidic. But the White Florals help to mellow and soften it from getting overly sharp or Citric. Overall a well balanced, silky smooth formulation.

A Wonder and a Peach

Maravilla is the Spanish word for "wonder." And in a way, it really borders on a wonder - no, actually two wonders:

1. I accidentally found my peach scent that I have been searching for so long.
2. I like it despite the patchouli.

I had actually given up my search for a perfume that smells really fine, fruity like peach, after Peau de Pêche was also just a disappointment for me. After all, this one is considered THE peach scent - unfortunately not for me. Well, some time ago I fell in love with "Calaluna," also from the Le Gemme line, and somehow "Maravilla" drew me in magically. I wanted to get to know this citrine-inspired scent. I wanted the summer scent as a counterpart to the winter scent ("Calaluna" is clearly a fragrance for the cool season for me). So, I made my way to Zurich to test "Maravilla," because it is described as citrusy, joy-giving, and summery. However, patchouli in the base made me uncertain, and this is probably also the reason why I waited so long to test it. Patchouli or earthy notes and I are usually at odds.

I was quite fidgety at the Bvlgari counter and sprayed away. Lemon, of course, and zesty as I had expected from the description. And then after a while came the joyful surprise! A wonderfully fruity peach joined in and took the lead. Peach clearly plays "first fiddle" here, always nicely accompanied by a light hint of lemon. Patchouli ensures that the scent does not drift into shower gel freshness but remains warm and sunny. My skin smells pure, warm, and somehow innocent like peach, slightly sweet and just, just a bit citrusy. Oh yes, and I almost forgot - very shy in the background is also the orange blossom, which adds a touch of floralness.

Longevity is in the middle range (a few hours, somewhat disappointing for a fragrance in this price segment). The same goes for me regarding the sillage, but perhaps that is exactly the intention of Daniela Andrier: luxurious understatement and not loud, ostentatious, and screaming.

For me, it is a women's fragrance, but everyone should decide for themselves. Fortunately, we are all still free regarding which scent we want to wear and do not have to adhere to conventions or follow rules. That is almost a "Maravilla" in today's world.

precious and familiar

splendia and maravilla - both fragrances from the le gemme series by bulgari, are related to each other.
both exude delicious elegance and lightness.
what is clear and cool in splendia,
is sensual and familiar in maravilla.
a scent that perfectly reflects the mysterious glow of citrine:
jasmine and peach in a luminous, warm balance
fresh and profound at the same time.
a masterpiece.
now I must unfortunately add: sprayed enthusiastically on a friend, it caused a 10-hour allergic reaction.
so, caution!

When Summer Begins at Halloween

The fragrances caught my attention, truly jumped out at me, when they were displayed very royally at Jelmoli, each on a pedestal, in the shop window. Very special bottles that personally appealed to me a lot. In particular, the choice of colors suited me very well.

Here’s some background information:

"The latest line from Bulgari is titled Le Gemme - Italian for gemstones - and includes six top-quality perfumes in dark bottles shaped like Greco-Roman amphorae, representing various semi-precious stones."

Today, I finally started the scent test with two of the fragrances. One of them is Maravilla.

I actually wanted to test Calaluna, but the saleswoman first handed me a black, elegant piece of paper, and it smelled of sun, summer, sunshine, and cheerfulness.

It simply smelled of happiness, refreshing, I instantly liked the scent immensely, as rarely a fragrance in this direction can do.

The top note is very citrusy, but not typically citrusy, like a thousand others I’ve smelled before; it’s a very harmonious, deep yellow, cheerful, summery aroma.

The scent truly delights, it brings a smile to the face, this harmonious composition achieves that.

The peach initially remains subtly in the background, but caresses with a very soft jasmine (and often I really, really don’t like jasmine), it complements the citrus, refines it.

It is an exceedingly successful, yellow composition that I would have immediately added to my collection - if it weren't for the price.

It’s not as special and unique as Calaluna, where I haven’t smelled anything comparable, but it has a harmonious, summery cheerfulness that I instantly liked immensely.

In the base, then, when the citrus has completely evaporated, a gentle patchouli, still embraced by a soft, light jasmine.

The sillage is not very pronounced, but the scent itself is finely tuned, harmoniously and cheerfully designed.

Again, a must-try candidate :)
