Geared towards the younger crowd
This is a vibrant, spicy, peppery, citrus scent that I used to enjoy in my youth. I don't know if it's the tonka overload in the dry-down, but I just can't wear this nowadays - my tastes have changed drastically. I'm not going to discuss that starfish note marketing ploy nonsense. It was heavily marketed as a sports freshie, and it came in a plastic bottle to be chucked carelessly into a gym bag. Scent-wise, I never got the sportiness at all, but it's certainly geared towards the younger crowd, and more appropriate for warm weather.

Projection and longevity are both moderate at best.

Masculinity Level: The black & white CK ads weren't far off with that androgynous waxed young dude in his tighty whities.

I Don't Crave Crave
Crave is a very light, sweet and synthetic smelling fragrance. No doubt aimed at the younger end of the perfume buying market with it's modern looking plastic bottle that will doubtless intrigue today's gadget obsessed generation. Not my favourite CK scent by a long way, but an ok fragrance all the same that can still be picked up fairly cheaply despite being discontinued.

Tracking the vintage Ep10
Hello Fragrance Fam!
On todays Web blog of "finding the Vintage batch" We're covering Crave by Calvin Klein.
This is a soapy scent, similar in scent profile to Perry Ellis America for men (the clear bottle), JOOP Nightflight, or to a lesser extent Acqua Di Gio for men EDT. Overall it has a clean aromatic scent profile, with a sharp and salty calone sort of smell that was popular in the early 2000's. The good news is this fragrance never underwent any reformulation! Coty/Prestige produced this fragrance for Calvin Klein from 2002-2005 approximately and because of it being discontinued so quickly is why it fetches such a high price tag in todays market! Hope this helps, enjoy the journey!

Not to be underestimated
I have known CK Crave for quite a long time. Long before my passion for fragrances, I had a sample of this scent in the early 2000s. Back then, I enjoyed testing samples but never bought anything. At that time, I preferred to have a small, manageable collection since I occasionally received fragrances as gifts. More than 10 years later: Stored in my memory and never really forgotten: You used to love this one, order it. Good decision. Unfortunately, it is now hard to find, as it was unjustly discontinued. Some other CKs deserve it more.

The bottle is really the biggest piece of junk :-) It looks 100% cheap, even though it is unusual. It also cannot stand up. Bottom drawer. Luckily, bottles are rather secondary for me.
The scent twin is Tom Ford "Costa Azzura." I can't confirm that, as I don't know it, but it's quite possible when comparing the scent pyramids. Crave is definitely something special for me, as it is really not a run-of-the-mill fragrance. It starts extremely fresh-herbaceous-spicy with a lot of bergamot, basil, and coriander. This nice herbal spiciness fits wonderfully with the fresh bergamot note. It stays like this for a long time and later fades gently. A very soft, subtle sweetness comes through from tonka, along with musk and gentle woody notes. However, this wonderful Crave spiciness remains. Overall, a beautiful scent with recognizability and not as interchangeable as many CKs. Discontinued unjustly.
The performance is in the medium range and completely okay for a fresh scent. It lasts a few hours easily with a reasonably strong sillage.

If you find it somewhere online: I can recommend it. A fresh fragrance with a lot of individuality.

UHU???
I don't know what to think about my nose on some days. I really test carefully, no more than two perfumes per day (one on the right, one on the left), usually just one, always on the skin, and not always do the respective scent experiences provide enough for a comment afterwards. By now, I should really be getting some routine and seeing progress.

How on earth can it be that with Calvin Klein's Crave, I seriously smell UHU glue as the opening??? oO It really can't be that the good CK has to stretch his perfume with so much solvent that this is the first impression... - or?

The middle part doesn't get much better. Although the extremely unpleasant top note fades away very quickly, afterwards I feel like I am locked in Johann Lafer's spice cabinet. Basil, coriander, allspice... I would be lying if I claimed I could pick them out individually. To me, it just smells like a spice mix.

In the base, this continues; this time I can indeed distinctly smell the nutmeg. It does get a little woody warm, but the nutmeg dominates. Let's call it spicy at best.

I am disappointed. I am used to much better from CK, so I can really only say: I am disappointed. To me, the scent is neither masculine nor feminine; it is simply unpleasant, and I don't want to smell it on myself or my husband.

Maybe Johann Lafer's spice cabinet fell over and he had to glue it with UHU, which would explain a lot. But how it all ended up with Calvin Klein, I'm unfortunately at a loss.

Not your average scent. Fresh bergamot with a truly quirky spice. I still really like it a lot.

Came as quickly as it disappeared. Unjustly. Edgy, fresh early 2000s vibe that embodies youthful spirit.

Me at 19, VIVA, American Pie, finished my apprenticeship - citrus/spicy! Synthetic freshness. The bottle is spacey! My remaining bottle is almost tipping over…

Very good and underrated scent that reminds me of fresh, spicy, slightly sweet cut grass. I liked it a lot back then.

Now hard to find! It's unremarkable but still has something! Spicy fresh, it works well in summer!

The most unusual but best CK for me. Quirky and headstrong, in a positive "offbeat" way. More green than orange (bottle).
