Nice but something missing?
I'm drawn to this and yet it is one of the most disappointing perfumes I have tried in recent weeks.

The note pyramid looks right up my alley, complicated, floral, fruity, musky, honey, woody, spicey, earthy, and yet I get a very heavy feeling scent with virtually no smell.

Their website classifies this as a Floral and Aromatic top, a Chypre middle, and a Woody base.

Mostly I get an overdose of Ylang Ylang, developing a little sharp, and some sort of musky woodiness. So yes, but I get so little smell it is confusing.

I am drawn to this but I can't figure out why because I can smell so little and yet feel like I am saturated in perfume. Maybe it will work better in the summer (still pretty cold where I am), or maybe the EDT (no longer made) would have performed better or the parfum (no longer made). It doesn't smell overly artificial to me, doesn't smell cheap, isn't in-your-face obnoxious, doesn't smell like an aftershave. I would describe as underplayed but who knows how I come across to others when sporting this one (the only thing I have to go on is that my delivery guy didn't pull a face and my son when he came to see me didn't comment (which means he didn't notice it)).

Their Italian website shows they also sell bar soap, liquid soap, shower gel, reed diffusers and refills, spray diffusers, solid perfume, hand cream, body lotion, scented candles so if a person liked Fiori di Capri they could fill their whole house with the scent. I miss those days when you could always pick up body lotion, soap and talcum powder as well as the fragrance of your choice.

I think I will buy another 2ml sample to try later in the year then call it a day if it doesn't perform better in the heat. Also might get another two or three samples from the same house to see if one of those is a better fit.

Anyway, for now I have plonked on a quick spritz of Beautiful because I can smell that alright.

A change of mind
Ordered this blind a few months ago because I already liked Gelsomini di Capri Eau de Parfum and wanted to explore this brand some more.
At first I thought it didn't project and didn't last, even made a negative statement about it because of that (which I just deleted). Too soon it seems, because: oh...was I wrong! Did not even list it then as 'I have' either, thinking I might give it away.
But I tried it again yesterday (for better or for worse) and my mind on it has completely changed! Maybe my nose had been 'full' of other fragrances the first time I tried this or something...I don't know, but this fragrance is really strong where it concerns the sillage as well as longevity.
I'm really having trouble to describe the scent. It is very unlike my other scents while, at the same time, I get 'vibes' of many of them (a little of Ysatis for instance). Seeing the listed notes, that does make sense: there are so many!!!! And thus, it is a very complex fragrance. It is creamy, yet powdery; sweet, yet aromatic; airy, yet 'grounding'; classic, yet modern (which I find a so much better classification than 'mature or youthful' I'm glad Parfumo changed that :-)) and it is floral, but in an abstract kind of way: I'm not able to tell the flowers apart.
I find it a very joyful and optimistic scent where there's something melancholy in it too, but here the happiness wins. And so it's very versatile. I wouldn't call this 'chypre' despite the oakmoss which - luckily - doesn't perform as 'bitter or dusty' on my skin.
It's inoffensive but absolutely 'there' and it could turn some heads, I can imagine.
I do understand the polarizing ratings on this perfume though, it's one of those that may need to 'grow on you'.
Well it grew on me, I'm so happy I didn't give up on it.

To me, this smells a lot like a tiny soap bar in a hotel; lots of white florals so not for me, but pleasant anyway.
