A really beautiful chypre
When I sniffed the Nino Cerruti pour Femme Eau de Toilette, I actually had to think a little of the Moments Eau de Toilette. But in the end, the Nino Cerruti pour Femme Eau de Toilette smells much nicer and more pleasant to me. The longevity on my skin is quite good at around 6-8 hours. I find the sillage a little more restrained.
The top note starts green, fruity, citrusy, floral and aldehydic. I recognize bergamot, carob carounde, gardenia, jasmine blossom, a fine peppery note, some coriander, peach and medium-ripe plums. There's quite a lot going on - great! The sea of flowers then dominates the heart note. It makes me think of fabric softener and soap. I can smell rose water, tuberose, iris, violets, garden carnations but also a subtle sweetness reminiscent of blossom honey. The base remains predominantly soapy and floral with a light earthiness of moss, animalic hints of musk and civet, balsamic sandalwood and a subtle sweetish hint of bourbon vanilla
As I am writing this review, I have decided that I will keep my miniature, as it is a great rarity in the chypre category. As complex as the many aromas and notes seem, the whole thing smells fine, pleasant and harmonious.
