Your Neroli darling has arrived
“Green Neroli” by Creed fluctuates for me between being partly/briefly genius and a (then significantly more pronounced) “Fuck You” to every buyer, a mix of “Geranium Pour Homme” and “4711” - with a disappointingly limited longevity.

Today at the perfume meeting in Cologne, my testing day quickly turned very neroli-heavy - it was (thankfully) sunny and nice weather-wise, but it wasn't really hot and summer-like either. Nevertheless, I seemingly had a strong desire for this sparkling yellow, refreshing substance. “Green Neroli” definitely lives up to its name and expectations, combining a gum-like to toothpaste-like mint with a sometimes somewhat old-fashioned citrus catalyst. A bit herbal, rather masculine, very green, slightly mossy, a bit zesty, easy to wear & to like. Airy and transparent enough. High quality too. So far, so good, so Creed. But then “Green Neroli” loses all color, character, radiance and strength on my skin so quickly, almost losing all form, that the scent overall leaves me very disappointed and is not worth recommending. And certainly not for over €200.

Bottle: the green suits it well
Sillage: hardly noticeable. For no one.
Longevity: 2-3 hours is a medium-sized cheekiness at this price.

Conclusion: the time it is there, “Green Neroli” is fine, minty, Creed's 4711, a future classic scent - but then it becomes pale and is gone before even a hint of enthusiasm can arise…

Mint Mint, Hooray!
Fat €220 in a green flacon with a gold cap. Oliver Creed has once again hit it big and wants to get into my wallet. Will I give in?
I can remember that in the past, with the same flacon design, I was rather disappointed by his fragrances, even though his classics are always worth the money for me. The House of Creed can do more than just Aventus.

Smelling it on paper, I was initially shocked; I wasn't really sure if it was supposed to be a spice rack with green tea or just kitchen dust.
I actually wanted to buy a new Neroli scent. Competitors like Tom Ford, BVLGARI, Atelier Cologne, Guerlain, etc.
And then this surprise from Creed comes along!
But slowly.
On the skin, freshly applied, a wonderful fresh mint unfolds, not lemon balm as one might think. Perhaps more of a herby chocolate mint.
Underneath, it cracks robustly. Tarragon and cumin are a bit dusty. Then this wonderful but subtle Neroli note. It's not warm orange blossom absolute. Van Cleef & Arpels does that best with its Neroli Amara. If you like it soft, floral, and fruity, you are better off there.

Creed likes it fresh. I imagine green tea or perhaps more of an English herbal tea. Petitgrain leaves us after 5 minutes. The green freshness fades into a kind of mint, woods, cumin/rosemary mix.
You have to like it; I am torn.

Result: For me, it's more herbs on a bed of orange blossoms. This is very special and also subtly masculine. I don't find this weaving of notes entirely perfect, but it's extremely interesting. You don't find something like this quickly.
Maybe it's the rustic little brother of Dior's - Royal Cologne? There, the mint is even nicer. The freshness is even more floral and royal.

Well. If you like tea scents, dusty spices, light woody notes, and orange blossoms on mint leaves, you should open your wallet. Mine unfortunately remains closed for now. I still find the experiment successful. What it lacks, however, is somewhere a bit of elegance and grace. Something that I strangely find attractive in Royal Water by Creed to this day.
Maybe I'm being too hard on it. It is certainly successful. Thank you, Oliver.

I get white flowers, neroli and a hint of mint to start with, later softer tones of the same with some creamy pastry. Ok but not great.

4711 with dissolved toothpaste. Delicate but too weak and not very distinctive.

I like neroli, I like green, this scent hits the mark - minty neroli, I like it. H&S and P/L are, however, an absolute joke.

Fresh spring scent, the mandarin is a bit bitter but overall pleasant. I don't notice the mint and the rosemary isn't strong, unfortunately.

What a cheek to charge this price for the scent of Orbit peppermint gum.

A sprinter. 1min opening, 20min drydown, 2h close to the skin. 1min green neroli-fresh, 20min green minty, 2h a breeze of herb garden. P/L

Wonderful scent, it's just totally delicious, close to the skin, very subtle, you'll need a few sprays.

Mint, tea, dust, and herbs. Oh yes. Neroli in a supporting role. Does that work? My review is online.

Fresh-herb notes meet a mint with associations of chewing gum and incense (especially at the beginning). Just okay, not a revelation...
