10/10 Frag. 2/10 Price.
If this was priced reasonably, I'd buy it. With that said, there are so many lovely vanilla-lemon scents for us to choose from and I can't see the point in buying the most expensive version of a scent... I just don't get it.

I received a decant with an order, and it's a sweet lemon lovely - on clothes it's like sweet lemonade and on skin it dries down a very 'bright' vanilla. Not green, not baking, not gourmand - it's bright. You could wear this every day, every season, every event, and you'd always be appropriate.

eau duelle's golden, citrus-vanilla cousin
I would 100% stop to ask someone what perfume they're wearing if they wore this around me! Similar to Eau Duelle EdT/EdP where it's a non-sweet, spicy vanilla (though arguably less green and spicy than Eau Duelle) - the best visual reference I can give is golden cashmere. At the initial spray, it's slightly sweet and has decent sillage. The citrus comes through pretty strongly, but once it dries down, the tonka bean rounds out the scent, and the vanilla becomes more prominent! it's reminiscent of a creamy vanilla bean soft-serve / homemade vanilla whipped cream. Again, it's not a sweet, pantry vanilla.

Also a great layering scent. It layers well with other scent profiles or can be worn on its own. The price is high for a layering perfume, but if you're looking for a unique vanilla that's not an intense/sweet gourmand, and if you also enjoy wood/citrus notes, this is a good option to try out!

The Curviest Vanilla in the Business
Very sublime, very exalted this liquid regent in the bottle. To put it another way, the perfect vanilla. THE vanilla.
Not the Ferrari 599XX among vanillas, but rather the Maybach. Exelero.

One of the few fragrances where you can excellently smell all the listed ingredients, each perfectly formed - this is truly the beauty of craftsmanship.

Top note: Vanilla, tonka bean? Oh yes, dusty, dry, exquisite vanilla, a bit of baking, soda, powdered tonka bean.

Heart note: Sumatra lemon, white bergamot - The lemon complements the vanilla simply fantastically. Bergamot makes the entire fragrance sparkling, noble, clear, and strong.

Base note: Tonkin musk - what remains is a rough, yet sweet-creamy-cuddly perfectionism.

Overall, the best vanilla/lemon symbiosis I know. This vanilla Maybach Exelero dangerously zooms along the edge of the fragrance pyramid, so that a wrong step could end up in the abyss of disinfectants with plastic sweetness. Fortunately, it does not do that here, taking "The Snake" with superb elegance. This is one of the most gigantic creations from the hands of Creeds.

The longevity is almost an Opus Dei with just 1-2 sprays. It envelops you in an irresistible cloud of delicious self-confidence, with absolute attraction and suggestive power. If you take it out for an evening, this vanilla would say:

"Would you like me to seduce you? Is it that you're trying to tell me?
You're ready?"

I would reply:

"Hey, you're just too funky for me
I gotta get inside -- of you
And I'll show you heaven if you let me,
I'd love to see you naked baby,
I'd like to think that sometime maybe -
Tonight, if that's all right, yeah!"

(I'm gonna be the kind of lover that you never had)
- everybody wants a lover like that)

You're such a, you're such a....
(Lyrics: George Michael, "Too Funky", 1992)

The Rolls Royce of Vanilla Fragrances
I ordered this sample from ALzD. Right from the first test, I almost fainted. From excitement! I was so overcome with awe that I safely stored the sample away and never touched it again. I was content with the knowledge that I owned a few drops of it. Now, fragrances are not meant to just sit around until they go bad; they want to be WORN. Or at least tested. That is their purpose, that’s what they are made for.

So I brought this incredible scent back out to enjoy it once more. Yes, dear friends of pleasant aromas, here we have vanilla at its finest: This is the Rolls Royce of vanilla fragrances, the Rolex, the big rock from Tiffany, the presidential suite, the 20 million-dollar yacht, the diamond-studded bra from Victoria’s Secret, ……

Right upon spraying, it knocks you off your feet. Wow, is it beautiful! Truly regal! Although I find it doesn’t develop much. To my nose, it smells largely the same in the top, heart, and base notes. And I find that completely fine; you know right away what you’re getting, what you have, and what will remain, without experiencing any unpleasant surprises in the scent progression. Sublime primarily smells of vanilla, of course. But by no means sweet and/or sticky, as vanilla fragrances often are. Neither baking aroma nor gourmand. Nothing cookie-like.

If someone had told me beforehand that a vanilla fragrance could also be citrus-fresh, I might have replied: Sure, as a toilet freshener. Because that somehow seems contradictory. But it actually works. Creed has mastered this here. (Although, Guerlain also managed it with Eau de Shalimar! However, the two are NOT similar!) Sublime is more ethereal, fresh, and citrusy, without being “lemony.” Sensual in a special way. Mature. Warm. Soft and fluffy. Translucent, yet still dense. A delicate but distinctly perceivable veil. Perfect for spring and even for summer. And that lasts about six to seven hours. Per day, of course.

Sublime is truly a dreamy fragrance. And yet, I can’t say for sure whether I would want to wear it constantly, even if I were willing to pay the horrendous price for it. Because somehow, it becomes too much for me in the long run. After a day on the skin, it’s enough for me for the time being.

Perhaps such beauty can sometimes just be hard to bear.

Creed is not always Aventus!
So… here comes a Creed fragrance. …. No man, no! Not Aventus! Creed is not always Aventus, you freaks!... uh… where was I? Oh right, yes. I wanted to introduce a fragrance as always. And it’s from Creed. … No man, no! NOT Aventus! Creed is not always…. oh man, now I’m stuck in a loop… all because of you “My Aventus batch is better than yours!” freaks :D

Tssss…

There are so many equally wonderful fragrances like Aventus. Even nicer ones! A sacrilege, I know. Still, shut up!

Now I’m going to tell you something about “Sublime Vanille,” a vanilla fragrance that smells just as great. And might even make your mouth water!

The fragrance:
At the beginning, I smell vanilla and lemon. It feels a bit like a delicious cake, because the lemon smells somewhat like the lemon icing on a cake with the sweet notes, so simply delicious enough to bite into, and by delicious, I mean the cake or rather the FRAGRANCE this time :D
Anyway, the vanilla makes the fragrance soft and powdery as usual, and thus very pleasant. A little later, the fragrance becomes warmer. The lemon remains, even though it loses some of its intensity, but it is still very noticeable and harmonizes wonderfully with the vanilla. You can see, these two fragrance notes are and remain the main notes throughout the entire scent journey of Sublime Vanille. In the base, musk is added, which also has a somewhat intense scent, but feels significantly softer than what one is used to from musk, but this is due to the powdery notes of the vanilla (and also a bit from tonka bean). The fragrance is generally a bit simple, as it technically only smells like vanilla, but it smells incredibly good, as long as you like vanilla AND slightly sour or citrusy notes.

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is not bad, but for a vanilla fragrance, it is a bit surprisingly weak. One should not expect a large scent cloud here, but it is somewhat noticeable from close up.
Also, the rather shorter longevity (for a vanilla fragrance) is surprising, as it does not last longer than seven or eight hours. I am used to much longer-lasting vanilla fragrances.

The bottle:
The bottle is a slightly higher-quality version of the already quite nice Creed bottles. The Creed logo (the crown) has been incorporated into the glass everywhere, which is made of real gold. The label on the front shows the name of the fragrance in a beautiful script, and above the label, the well-known Creed lettering can be seen. The cap is a hemisphere or dome and looks like a gemstone.

Ah, Sublime Vanille is one of the really beautiful vanilla fragrances that I have tried. Familiar vanilla sweetness and a wonderful, powdery softness that smells absolutely fantastic. The sillage is, as mentioned, somewhat less than one might expect from vanilla fragrances, but still, one should not miss the chance to at least test this fragrance.

It’s also nice that the lemon, which for me also acts like a delicious icing, brings some variety to the otherwise simple fragrance, and the scent does not quickly turn into just vanilla like most vanilla fragrances do. At least this takes a bit longer with this fragrance.

Since the fragrance feels less heavy, it is also wearable on warmer days, for example in spring, if you don’t want to give up vanilla in the warmer season (although it might be too heavy for summer, presumably)
But no matter when you use it, I’m sure it will be well received by others too!

Yaaa… Sublime Vanille is indeed great and once again proves that there are other fragrances from Creed that smell just as good or even better than Aventus… even if this is a women’s fragrance instead of a men’s fragrance. Although there are also great fragrances for men OTHER THAN Aventus *sigh* This has to be mentioned constantly here, with you freaks… :D

"Not in the face" vanilla, not overwhelming at all, with a citrus twist. Delicate musky drydown with still present vanilla.

It summons the happy memories of my infancy. Sweet cozy mood. Unfortunately that mood is only detected by me and vanishes very quickly.

A delicious vanilla with citruses in the opening. The drydown is powdery and creamy, a soft vanilla with musk and a hint of tonka bean.

I enjoy the sweet lemony vanilla opening, not so much the musky and "ambergreasy" drydown.

Sweet bourbon vanilla and lemon, very nice. Though a lovenly scent, I find vanilla to be more pastry than perfume, you smell like a cookie!

I can see the comparison to Eau Duelle, but to my nose this has more powder. The tonka is very powdery in this one.
