Playfully subtle.
Vetiver geranium. Very fresh, fruity, citrus and quite fun, right at the onset. It rapidly goes fairly light on the skin, but is already quite lovely. A little gentle on the vetiver, more like a soft patchouli with more a geranium leaf than the flower. Just as it was softening, A sudden, very pleasant fleeting jolt of very identifiable sharp green apple like a miniature electric shock. It then left again as soon as it came, like a fruity tease. Quite a playful scent for hot weather and office use.

This has a fresh fruity feel that isn't in the slightest bit sweet like fruit, but more like the salty sea. There is a crispy freshness of a tart apple yet it isn't tarty fruity. It is all the zingy parts of fruit without the sugar. The fresh white musk is soft and keeps these fruits from any acidity. The woodsy cedar masculine side floating in on a fresh breeze. The vetiver seems to be only light strands of grass holding onto the fruit like balloons, so their aroma is at a distance but still there.

Light and full of character. A playful, masculine office wardrobe staple for days when life is just too grey not to have a little fun but you don't want anyone to know. This fragrance almost chooses which facet to let go, and releases it in little single puffs of individual notes. Another jolt induces pure vetiver to show just for a nanosecond. Patchouli sits there calmly but like a well mulched leafy forest floor, with no harsh edges.

Rapidly fades to a fresh linen, fruity/ozonic sophisticated skin scent with movement induced scent surprises like a jack in the box of little playful breaths. Very wearable indeed but take a top up vial with you if you have a long day.

Sunny day in a bottle
No vetiver here, when first applied you get such a beautiful burst of various notes. Floral, citrusy and they come at you at various levels at different times during the wearing.

On me it's straight up geranium throughout while there is a background of other notes, mostly floral/citrus.

I don't get the musk, cedar or amber and patchouli outright but I'm guessing they come together to form that great "wall of notes" behind the geranium.

It actually worked for seven hours on me and had good projection. Does not smell ordinary.

Between Toothpaste & Perfection
After warning you about the nicely named but miserably singing Asian Green Tea, I would now like to introduce you to my favorite from the new Creed Fab-Five (Acqua Originales), at least after the first more detailed tests: Vetiver Geranium. I would underline Geranium boldly and recommend the new Heeley for fans of pure Vetiver, which is similarly minty fresh, but somehow quite different. For all those who found Frederic Malle's snooty hardcore Geranium scent (Geranium Pour Monsieur) just a bit too cold and extreme (only Scottish nobility can really wear that), they must sniff Vetiver Geranium and almost grab it blindly. I don't want to hype it, but here it would be appropriate. Leave the arbitrary Asian Green Tea or the ordinary Iris Tuberose and dedicate yourself to this perfect balance of minty coolness from the Geranium and green freshness from the Vetiver.

I have often said that Vetiver has become one of my favorite fragrance notes. But by now, I would even go so far as to say that I would love to be recognized by Vetiver as my signature. With such an oversized collection, a signature scent is of course not possible, but a signature direction might be. Then it would be Vetiver. Whether it’s the Frederic Malle Vetiver, the sporty one from Carven, the brand new one from Heeley, the powdery Vetiver Matale, or the classic from Guerlain - that doesn't really matter at first. The main thing is that Vetiver reflects me in people's minds - that would be great and desirable, although it’s still a long way to go.

And then there’s also Geranium Pour Monsieur - a great scent that stuck in my memory, but it always came across as too high-strung for me, almost unbearable. Yet, it is a milestone in my fragrance perception, for whatever reason, a fascinating scent - toothpaste for hours, along with a rosy gentleman.

Exactly these two directions are skillfully and somewhat too linearly combined in this Creed creation - in a slightly casual rose-summer style and yet determined. The perfect balance from both worlds - but otherwise actually nothing else, hence no full score. I could well imagine that besides citrus summer notes, watery roses, and a slightly woody-sweet base, nothing else is included, except for the 2 namesakes. But that’s enough for me when it is presented so skillfully. From Geranium to Vetiver in just 6 hours - not a long journey, but a stylish one for summer, work, and every modern gentleman!

Bottle: mediocre - I prefer the regular Creeds.
Sillage: better than Asian Green Tea, but still has room for improvement.
Longevity: also here progress at a low level - 5-7 hours.

A scent that is so good that I'm seriously considering sharing it with you. Definitely one of the highlights of the year for me, although at €195 for 100 ml (all Acqua Originales) it’s not inexpensive. I'm actually surprised that there hasn't been a really big wave for the 5 new Creeds here in Germany - a pleasantly quiet and very calm & stylish market launch for Creed in this country. Keep it up!

a positive but fleeting impression
Yesterday, I eagerly sprayed Vetiver Gardenia - not only because the title appealed to me, but I also get along well with Aventus for her.

The sour apple - lemon opening surprises me, but it soon gives way to the full rose geranium - wrapped in cinnamon.
A harmonious combination.
The rose blends in velvety - and the patchouli is soft yet bright.
The vetiver grounds only gently - and the scent remains light and transparent.

My overall impression is positive - and I also like the aquatic character.

Then comes the "mandatory round" with the fragrance, as I always take the object of my desire for a walk before purchasing.

I can't detect any development with this Creed - it remains softly spicy and floral.
But the joy doesn't last long, as it fades increasingly.
Aventus does this better.
But the Acqua in the name already hints at the Cologne-like quality.
Still, I had hoped for a bit more longevity.

A positive but too fleeting impression remains, which does not compel me to buy.

Basisheinzelmännchen Vetiver
For me, Vetiver smells quite different each time, so I haven't been able to identify the scent on its own yet. That may still happen. I hoped that with "Acqua Originale - Vetiver Geranium," I would get a bit closer to the base scent of Vetiver. Similar to Oud, which I can recognize very well in its various scent expressions from barn to completely synthetic, even in low concentrations.
But even with this fragrance, it doesn't work out, as Geranium is the dominant scent, and Vetiver perhaps plays the role of a base elf in the scent mystery?
Nevertheless, "Acqua Originale - Vetiver Geranium" is a particularly beautiful fragrance. It starts off somewhat sharp-citrusy and herbal, green and slightly smoky. However, very quickly at the beginning, a powderiness can be perceived that softens everything and makes "Acqua Originale - Vetiver Geranium" smell very pleasant. Unfortunately, here and there, an unnamed sandalwood pushes through, which is evidently responsible for the gentle powderiness alongside musk. Since I have tested the fragrance several times, I know that sandalwood occasionally "lets off some steam." Once the first sandalwood cloud has dissipated, it smells minty and a little like one of those new lightly and citrus-scented rose hybrids. The mint note is exactly that of my scented geranium. Fortunately, it is not as strong as the real plant on the terrace. Because that has a very dominant scent and immediately releases its aroma when you just touch the leaves a little. In "Acqua Originale - Vetiver Geranium," this is very finely balanced. I can't describe this fragrance any further on its own, as fortunately, nothing else happens for me after this development, because "Vetiver Geranium" is balanced for me.
The mentioned base seems to be working right from the start, and the scent remains as initially described: somewhat sharp-citrusy and herbal, green and slightly smoky, and the powderiness developed right at the beginning with the geranium mint note stays until the end.
A refreshing bright, warm, velvety, slightly sweet, somewhat medicinal scent. Just like aromatic peppermint tea, which is drunk hot but still has a cooling effect on the upper respiratory tract and the body. A fragrance for every day. The longevity is good, as is the sillage. Not to forget: A unisex fragrance.

A drop of children’s apple shampoo in high-pitched, transparent vetiver composition a la TdH. The more I wear it, the less impressed I am.

I think it's one of the best Creed since Aventus. Fresh vetiver, elegant geranium and the antique patchouli with some spices coexist.

More geranium than vetiver. Leans classic and masculine. Would become too cloying in hot weather. Noticeable patchouli presence in the base.

Clean, refreshing and fruity. Geranium is the star, vetiver not so much.

Invited to tea at Großm.; either the geranium smells like this or it's one of her old waters. I accidentally squashed some lemons.

In front of the dental practice, with Granny Smith apples in the reception area, a blooming regiment of rose geraniums is in full bloom.

The combination of vetiver and the tangy rose geranium note isn't bad, but somehow it just doesn't spark. It's alright.

Joyful grandma invites you for tea! Lemon juice and vetiver set the scene, steaming geranium touches the soul!
Cinnamon adds a hint of gourmand.
