Lemon Custard
DKNY Sweet Delicious Creamy Meringue is an essential Summer gourmand. If you like 'sugar and spice, and all things nice', look no further than this 2012 limited edition range from DKNY.

I usually detest dominant lemon accords, however this is hardly a citrus scent. Think creamy, sugary lemon presented in a light, fluffy and delicious way. To my nose, Creamy Meringue smells just like a homemade lemon custard pie, served with a big dollop of whipped cream.

I tested this fragrance before going to visit a friend at a restaurant, and the amount of compliments I received were overwhelming. Everyone wanted to know where they could find it to try it for themselves. It's a sure crowd-pleaser.

Thankfully this fragrance doesn't venture into sickly sweet territory. It's quite light and inoffensive on the skin, perfect for Spring and Summer. A unique frangipani and passion flower blend in the heart, gives Creamy Meringue a slightly tropical feel.

Reviews have been fairly mixed, but that's to be expected with all gourmands. Sweet and foody scents are not for everyone. I personally adore it. Creamy Meringue is a fun, invigorating and flirtatious scent that I can't help but admire. I have been recommending it to all my friends.

The longevity is superb, lasting a good five or more hours on my skin. However, the sillage is fairly soft and intimate. Seeing that this Sweet Delicious series and Creamy Meringue are limited editions, I would buy it while you still can.

Grandmother's Secret Weapon
Everything was embarrassingly clean, the coffee table beautifully set. To calm her excitement, she checked the place settings once more. Was each little spoon straight, was every napkin artfully folded?

There was still time, she knew that, but when waiting, minutes can feel like hours.

She had taken the white china - the "good" stuff - and the silver cutlery, which had her name engraved on it. The yellow napkins matched well with the yellow-and-white checked linen tablecloth. The small bouquet she had picked in the garden earlier was also in yellow and white. The flowers had a sweet scent. The freesias were particularly beautiful this year. She always made sure that not too many colors played a part at the table.

In the center of the table, on a cake stand, sat the fine lemon cream cake.
The recipe originally came from her grandmother - she always called it her "secret weapon." "You know, my girl: 'The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.'" She had winked at her and smiled. How long ago was that!

She had then slightly altered the recipe. Even "secret weapons" change, they must keep up with the times.
Between the fine cake base and the delicious lemon cream, she had added cookies flambéed in orange liqueur. The taste was truly unique. The delicate lemon-vanilla scent filled the entire house. She would get the whipped cream from the fridge later.

The windows were wide open. It was a beautiful early summer afternoon. The airy white curtains billowed in the wind. A bumblebee circled the flowers on the windowsill.

From the living room came the sound of soft piano playing. That was her son Peter, playing there. She hummed along softly. At one point, he got stuck every time. The rhythm wasn't always quite right either. Tomorrow she would sit next to him again during practice. There was still time until the performance.

The clock struck two. He would be here any minute. He was always punctual. In case he brought flowers, she had already prepared a vase.

It rang. With nimble fingers, she took off her apron and hung it in the kitchen. Light-footed, she crossed the hallway. The freshly laid wooden floor creaked a little. She glanced briefly at the wall mirror. The blue blouse was the same color as her eyes. She ran her hand through her hair and tried a smile. Everything would be just fine!

She took a deep breath and opened the door.

From the Zodiac Sign Lemon Butterfly
Through Peanuts' thread to the Sweet Delicious flankers and Inger's great comment, I became aware of the fragrance. The only one that appealed to me from the line. I really like the combination of lemon-gourmand-fresh. Just like it can be found in Plus plus Feminine by Diesel. Unfortunately, the latter is associated with negative memories for me, but I still hope to wear it again with pleasure one day.
But it's not so bad, because with Creamy Meringue, I have found a more than worthy successor.

Sprayed at Douglas, which I believe was only available there, the decision was made quickly. I have to have it, absolutely. The first thing that comes to mind is waffles, with lots of vanilla sugar in the batter, soaked in lemon juice. At the same time, there’s a cheerful, good-mood freshness, nice and lively.
The fragrance quickly reminds me of warm crêpes, freshly baked; this crispy and fluffy warmth unfolds in a truly authentic way, just begging to be bitten into.
The pastry is filled with a light whipped lemon cream, not cream, so nothing feels greasy or mushy. More like sour cream or buttermilk. Light, airy, fruity, mildly lemony, creamy, and fluffy. At this moment, it strongly reminds me of Lemon Love by Allverde, which is unfortunately discontinued. Only the sillage and longevity are gigantic in comparison.
And the fragrance reminds me of something else. I could jump for joy. There used to be a body scrub and a shaving gel from Balea, something with buttermilk and lime, unfortunately also only available for a short time. Simply divine and to die for, I always wished for a perfume that smells like that.
Fortunately, I found it, again limited, but what can you do.
Among the mentioned flowers, the passion flower stands out the most. Sweet and rather enchanting, it unfortunately also tends to give me headaches with too strong a dosage. I know frangipani to be sweeter and tropical, it only comes across subtly on me. The freesia is probably what makes the fragrance so lovable. Overall, it has a rather creamy-citrusy, warm, flowing-floral, and "crêpe-laden" heart.
And yet it is so light and buoyant, subtly powdery, fresh, and summery, so to speak a light gourmand, even perfectly suitable for hot weather or sweat-inducing fidgeting in the club. So far, I have received the most compliments with it. It seems to stand out positively with its warm and fluffy-fresh lemon vanilla.

Without becoming overpowering or sticky, the fragrance cuddles up to the skin in a cozy and thoughtful way, gradually losing its juicy and creamy lemon note, becoming a bit warmer and slightly bitter, still very playful and approachable, the base harmonizes wonderfully with the preceding notes and feels very homogeneous and relaxed. A hint of crêpe is still faintly detectable, but it has long since cooled down.

The longevity is more than acceptable at eight hours for the adventurous lemon butterfly. It happily accompanied me to work (it still has nerves), inspired me on various bike tours, stomped the ground with me in my favorite electro shed, and often sweetened my rather short summer. The sillage is rather delicate; you really have to put the rather awkwardly shaped bottle to the test if you want the environment to flutter around too. However, the pastel yellow color fits the theme very well.
From spring to autumn, it's a great feel-good scent that simply brings joy and is so easy to wear. Maybe a bit one-dimensional, but here I find the long-sought fragrance from the Balea line. However, I can't wear it for several days in a row, as the warm crêpe note somehow gets on my nerves (Haha), as much as I love it.
My mother immediately liked it on me; it suits me so well that she has to have it too, so I gifted it to her for her birthday. So, in my opinion, it's not just a teen fragrance.

Creamy Meringue lives up to its name. Crispy, delicious, airy, light, and creamy like egg whites with lemon on soft, warm crêpes. Summery floral, subtly powdery, lovingly like a warm hug. A special lightweight among gourmand fragrances. Just a little lemon butterfly that loves to snack.

When life gives you lemons....
I recently acquired this sweet little cutie in the souks from a rather cheeky but very lovely perfumer. She told me she was curious about my thoughts on this fragrance ... So I have to add my two cents or rather my lemon to it.
Yes, my dear .... what should I say "Gans"? ;-)

I am really pleasantly surprised!
Creamy Meringue smells soooooooooooo delicious, creamy, slightly buttery-sour, creamy-sweet, lemony-fresh... pretty much exactly like Buttermilk Lemon.
Wasn't it called Buttermilk Fresh back then?
( Buttermilk Lemon ...sounds definitely very wrong, a little too denglish and quite questionable. )

Right after spraying, the scent was very intense and reminded me of lemony refreshing wipes.
But that fades away immediately in a few seconds (almost while exhaling) and then it becomes wonderfully creamy and gourmand delicious.
I can't really detect any development in the scent on me.
I smell (aside from the first 2 seconds) continuously and from start to finish only Buttermilk Lemon, which I find totally delicious. Definitely an absolute feel-good fragrance.

Unfortunately, the longevity didn't perform very well for me (about 3-4 hours on my skin and after half an hour the scent already fades quite a bit)
Maybe it holds better on clothing?

How to Drive Away Moths with Creamy Meringue or the American's Scent
When my husband wanted to buy perfume in America, strangely none of the saleswomen knew an American creation… they almost fanatically praised the “French perfumes.”
That’s what the American woman wants to smell. Apparently, “American Fragrances” sell well mainly here.

After testing DKNY Sweet Delicious Creamy Meringue (shortened to “Creamy”), I don’t understand it, but I understand the American noses even more…

Well, Creamy starts with a mix of lemon and vanilla, I want to call it a “battle,” none of these scent notes wins, and already here begins the imbalance that characterizes the fragrance and is annoying… my skin chemistry and the chemistry of the ingredients in Creamy do not get along at all.

I have hope and wait for the heart note, it all sounds soooo delicious.

Unfortunately, all I get is a bucket full of cedar wood pencil shavings that have fallen off while sharpening.

Well, a little more patience… there is still a base note, which often has had a reconciling effect.

But the cedar, which has already prematurely shown itself in the heart, is simply the dominatrix in this game. A tough dominatrix, she has whipped the amber into shape, and it has sought refuge…
With cedar wood, you drive away moths. Creamy Meringue means “Sahnebaiser,” here the name is not a program…

I don’t want to smell like a pencil, and no American wants that… so bring on the “French perfumes.”
