A lumberjack real man kind of scent. Very woodsy and sexy. A cedar, fir resin and sage bomb. Very VERY faintly softened by a hint of apple. But you have to have a good nose to smell that note. (or get really close to the man who's wearing it ;)

Silage is: "I am in the woods doing manly stuff" - Longevity is: "all day long".
Great for men who like to smell like they just came from a day in the great outdoors. Yummy!

For me, THE fragrance. Well, it used to be.

I find it a shame that this fragrance has only received two comments so far, and those were rather negative, so I would like to express a positive opinion about Cool Water Deep here, so to speak "posthumously".

For me, Cool Water Deep was for years THE fragrance, the one that, as many say, actually doesn’t exist, and it would have remained that way if Davidoff hadn’t discontinued its production.
I don’t even want to know how many bottles I have used up over the years, eventually forced to hunt down some remaining stock somewhere.
It’s not that I haven’t tested or known other perfumes before or after Cool Water Deep. But since I was allowed to smell it on myself for the first time - and I would have liked it on others, whether male or female - no other fragrance has interested me since then. Why should it? It was perfect. I just wanted to smell it on myself again and again. This one or none.

If I had to describe why this one, or what fascinates and enchants me so much about this fragrance, I would probably struggle. But that doesn’t make much sense, so I’ll struggle a bit. The fragrance smells fresh to me, but not sour; aquatic, but not like water; warm and spicy, but not heavy. And neither feminine nor masculine.
Some might say that sounds like "neither fish nor fowl." That may be true. But perhaps it is precisely this in-between quality that makes it appealing to me. Light and deep at the same time.
As I said, I struggle with the description.

By the way, I can only complain about the poor longevity of the fragrance since it has only been available from remaining stock - which has probably been the case since the end of 2008. And that remaining stock may lack intensity or the fragrance can go off should not surprise anyone.

It’s a shame that Cool Water Deep is no longer produced. For me personally, it was the perfect fragrance.

Cool Water Deep...

Years have passed.
Once again while shopping.
And by chance in a fragrance temple.
Tried the scent by accident.

Not bad. Rather - I like it.
Completely different from my previous ones...
In my opinion, better than Cool Water.
Got it.

And realized...
One of my best fragrances.
No ifs.
No buts.

Used it for years.
Unfortunately no longer in production...
Also not available anywhere else
If only this scent would come back...

But: Since that day, I haven't bought any more products from Davidoff.

A long time ago and yet...

... I can still remember it. It was fresh and very spicy. It almost had a bit of a sting to it. It stands out, and if you can still find it today, you should definitely test it. It reminds me a lot of Aqua di Gio or is it the other way around? The performance and longevity were quite good back then.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen it in ages.

Should be sunk deep in the sea

A lot in it, but still smells like almost nothing. And after a maximum of 5 minutes, it smells absolutely nothing at all anymore. Actually, this scent doesn't even deserve my 30%, but I really dislike giving even less. A fragrance has to truly disgust me for that. Cool Water Deep isn't quite that bad after all.
