Watermelon with pepper
I love the citrus opening of this fragrance. However, it's gone almost immediately. What's left is gentle coolness dominated by a spicy, peppery scent, which I find slightly irritating. It's like WATERMELON WITH PEPPER and some herbs, a very weird composition, although not an unpleasant one. All in all, not a hit, I can see why it was discontinued.

As a side note, some reviewers said this fragrance smelled synthetic. I strongly disagree. It's as close to a natural smell as it gets in a perfume.

Watermelon Man
Again, a scent where I thought at the first sniff: Everything has been done before. Aquatic note with a very intense watermelon freshness, supported by strawberry, "Appelschnut," and citrus, typical candy water as seen a dozen times before.

But: The captivating aspect of this fragrance is its intense radiance - Cool Water Game simply has "blonde" sex appeal and spreads good vibes! And it comes across as more unpretentious than the similarly inclined Allure Homme Blanche with its overpowering lime or the cool Escape for men by Calvin Klein, without appearing cheap.

So: Thumbs up for a casual fragrance that is now quite affordable and that one should definitely not compare with the strictly classic original "Cool Water"!

Surviving Melon Waterball?
I really like the original, which is bursting with synthetics and artificiality, and I recently got my hands on a sample of this offshoot. I didn't expect it to surpass the original or even just scratch the surface of its quality, but I definitely expected a bit more...

An absolute average summer scent that fades into the crowd and probably only stands out positively next to body odor on a crowded bus. On top of that, it has an exceptionally weak sillage and a longevity of a maximum of 6 hours even on moderately warm days, which is clearly too little. We won't even start talking about the cheap bottle.

But the most important thing, the scent, is as mentioned nice, but we all know what this is the little brother of. Very melon-heavy, fresh, active, spontaneous, youthful, refreshing, but so weak and unremarkable.

When the Cool Water man strolls along the shore, the Cool Water Game man plays water polo in the pool or beach volleyball with his 16-year-old friends. What smells more masculine, cooler, and better, I don't need to explain further.
With Cool Water, you might clash and encounter haters, but it's still better than not getting into a conversation with Game ;-)

Smells like countless CK One Summer Editions, please no more Cool Waters!!!

Cool High Summer
It is high summer 2008, I am in my early 20s and completely infatuated with this sweet girl.

We go shopping together and she suggests getting me a perfume. Until then, I had never dealt with perfumes, but that didn't matter; of course, I would take whatever she liked best.

In the drugstore, we eventually came to Cool Water Game, and I still remember how the scent blew me away immediately. I perceived the fragrance back then as a great mix of fresh aquatic and at the same time fine, noble, and well-groomed.

For many years, Cool Water Game was to remain my only perfume. I wore it only on special occasions and always felt elegant and well-groomed with it.

Today, in 2024, in my mid to late 30s, I have been collecting perfumes for about a year and I am writing my first review here. By now, I have a somewhat more differentiated opinion about Cool Water Game. I recognize the synthetic base; the fruity notes seem significantly more dominant to me than before. The fruitiness also brings a minimal sweetness that never dominates for me. The bottle is nice, but the cap is cheap plastic.
I also now own the original Cool Water Eau de Toilette as well as the Cool Water Aquaman Collector Edition and can also recognize the DNA of Cool Water in the Game flanker. You can clearly tell that something was produced here that was meant to be Cool Water for a 20-30 years younger target audience. The longevity is okay for me (4-6 hours) and the projection and sillage are very restrained. I believe I liked the scent back then also because it is not a monster that takes over the whole room.

However, the feeling of something noble and well-groomed still remains for me, even though I now know significantly more noble and higher-quality fragrances. This scent will probably always hold a special place in my heart. Is it a "typical" mid-2000s scent? Maybe, I don't like to judge. But it always brings me back to that time when summers were slowly getting hotter and you felt like all doors were open to you.

Bargain for Summer!
yes, this is a typical mainstream scent. not bad but also nothing special. for me, however, it is absolutely pleasant to wear in summer and really refreshing. aside from the cheap ingredients and the synthetic scent, it also elicits quite nice reactions from the female gender. I got the 100ml for a mere 19.99€ about 5 months ago. for my taste, the average man can do nothing but right with this edt! on the other hand, the completely overrated cool water cannot. that’s why this one is a nice change for carefree spraying in leisure time. whether for shopping, at the swimming lake, or at work, here a man is always well served. it’s not a top scent but definitely worth the money. the longevity is quite good for a fresh scent. I think next summer I will finish it off but also won’t repurchase... there are definitely better alternatives even if it’s only 20€. still, this one is perfect for gifting to both the younger and older generation for summer! I like it.

a fruity, fresh, and masculine scent for a small budget, perfect!

Melon musk in the style of KC Reaction. Linear, totally 00s archetypal, I really like it.

My first perfume! That's why my view is clouded by nostalgia. Fits the early 2000s, synthetic, but unique!
