Light, Fresh, Uplifting Team Player
This is a clean office/daytime appropriate scent I have enjoyed off and on since it came on the scene in the mid-90s. It is a dry floral-citrus wood scent without even a hint of sweetness, but with a very little bit of clean muskiness in the base. It has a very fresh, sheer citrusy top with what I believe is some bergamot and mandarin notes, a sweep of airy floral and a cedar dust on the base almost approaching that pencil shaving note, but stopping short of that hamster cage accord. It smells great on a Man or a woman and apparently has some firming or skin toning properties, which, well, there is only so much credence I can lend from my personal experience. Let's get back to the scent, itself. It's a very soft citrus unfolding into a bit of powdery rose and hyacinth perhaps a lily-of-the valley that is floating down the gentle river on a handmade but sturdy wooden raft of freshly lumbered raw undertreated wood. This scent will work in conjunction with an early morning double espresso corporate meeting and it will mellow out by lunch to a barely perceptible calm collected woody base skin scent of someone who is living right and is vaguely attractive, even though these thoughts are frowned upon by HR. It will definitely help in demonstrating your ability to remain fresh and solid under hostile mergers and impervious to the petty background chatter of pink slips and inter-office scandals. If nothing else, it demonstrates good grooming, level-headedness and a positive attitude and maybe that is enough to get your name thrown-in-the-hat for that big promotion.

Worsened and Discontinued
For many years, Eau Svelte accompanied me every night and helped me through hot summer days. A delightful body fragrance that clung quite well. Even the next morning, the nightgown still smelled of it. I know some women, even in forums, who mourn this scent. Several years ago, it suddenly changed; nothing reminded me of the dreamy lightness and elegance of this unique composition. A kind perfumery owner gifted me a single remaining bottle as a present. I stopped searching for something comparable and communicated my confusion to the company. I received an email with the terse information that they had to align the composition with EU regulations. That is not an explanation for a complete change in the fragrance components for me. Then it was quickly discontinued, as the regular customers apparently no longer purchased it. And there were also body care products under this name, but those were also unsuccessful.

Coleslaw as Perfume Deodorant
Eau Svelte came to me a few months ago. My grandmother probably bought it back then, half-used it, and forgot about it. I tested the relic a few times.

At the spray head, sunscreen came to mind again. The sunscreen scents I know are Le Bain by Joop and Musc Blanc by Les Senteurs Gourmandes; both share lily of the valley and musk. After spraying, it becomes fresh, creamy, herbal. A harsh, penetrating note emerges, guaranteed by its age. It somewhat resembles bad breath and leather. Fortunately, this note fades quickly. The impression of white flowers intensifies, and Svelte becomes a bit fruitier. Unfortunately, it has the same indistinct fruity sweetness as Bruno Banani or the Acajou by Harry Lehmann that I tested recently. For an aged "Perfumed Spray Deodorant," the longevity is good. The projection certainly never extended much beyond the body.

Refreshing
Eau Svelte is truly refreshing on a warm summer day or after a shower at the gym. A feel-good fragrance that also leaves the skin smooth. More of a care product than a scent, but the light, floral freshness still lasts a long time.

Creamy-herbaceous, white flowers, later a generic fruity note. Moderate concept, well executed.
