Classique
This is Maison Dorin-not Dorin-one, if not the only one, having its own museum.
It was founded by Mademoiselle Montasier ( real name Marguerite Brunet) in 1780.
It is a long and adventurous history surrounding the House, but I will go straight to the presentation of this perfume.
The first spray and...nothing! I was shocked because I knew that the House is using the best raw materials from Grasse, Turkey, the Middle East. And , all of a sudden, flashes of yellow, white, light pink scents showed up and kept pulsating, like a heart. Jasmine and heliotrope; jasmine and a light rose; and a glimpse of narcissus. You just want to sit and follow this developpment.
The real musk in the base, and some darker tones , like earthy, come to life. Everything is so well rounded and elating!
The longevity is good but the sillage is shorter than expected. Nevertheless, this is a great classique.
