The Only Constant is Chaos
I admit it, the bottles - actually THE bottle - from Dorin have captivated me. In this combination - blue liquid in this bottle adorned with gold motifs - it looks even more beautiful. I'm still not quite sure about the scents.
After I quickly gave up the Rose of Taif from the Un Air d'Arabie series, I am now of course quite cautious regarding the other fragrances.
If I strictly follow the pyramid, this scent would be just right for me! But!!!
Un Air de Paris Floral does not start with jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang, but with lavender, vetiver, and iris. Dry, green, herbal. The rose only blooms after 15 minutes, while jasmine and ylang-ylang fade away in the meantime.
The same goes for clove and cinnamon - they probably think "what are we doing in a floral scent." In the meantime, Un Air de Paris Floral is as dry and dusty as the sidewalks of Paris.
Iris in a bone-dry consistency, later supported by a distinctly animalistic and unsweet musk, so that heliotrope doesn't stand a chance.
In the many tests I've gone through, I've experienced a lot of chaos, but such a note chaos as here, I have not encountered before. As I said - according to the pyramid, it is EXACTLY my scent, but real life is always different from the (beautiful) idea! Unfortunately.
