Men's Fragrance in a Women's Bottle
The title of my comment may sound a bit strange, but it describes this scent very well and accurately in my opinion.
Pink Ginger is a flanker of the regular “Want,” which has a white cap. By the way, I find this plastic cap quite odd and oversized, but let's get to the scent.
Pink Ginger starts, as described, with citrus accords and a hefty dose of pepper. This is what I can perceive most clearly right away. Already now, I inevitably get associations with a men's fragrance, but I want to be patient and give this scent its chance. Slowly, a bitter vanilla comes into the heart, which is also pleasantly warm, but for my taste, it could have been sweeter to tone down the pepper a bit. Floral notes of rose and heliotrope timidly knock at the door, but are not let in. Here too, the fragrance could have taken a turn towards the more feminine, but unfortunately, that hasn't quite succeeded here. In the end, the scent is underscored by woods, which enhances the overall impression.
Surely this fragrance will find its lovers; I can really imagine it being something for male vanilla enthusiasts, or for women who also enjoy scents with a masculine touch. Personally, I had expected something different from it. But since it was a blind buy, I can cope with that.
